Let's face it....except for a couple of small islands in the Pacific, everyone else is behind Oz. :teeth:

Is New Zealand included in the small islands? Are you biased being from the "big" island?

Not wasted...still spoken out to the universe.... :snooty:

Hoping for a good sleep tonight...might try early...

Oz is the only Island continent which I am very proud of.
For some reason we adopted this smaller island Tasmania....which I believe should belong to Nu Zuland

New Zealand has a North Island, a South Island; and there is an East Island. The New Zealanders call Australia their "West Island".

They sometimes get rather peeved with us...Australia is their biggest trading partner. But for Australia, our biggest trading partner is China. New Zealand doesn't figure highly in the list...so we tend to 'miss' or forget about them a bit.

Aussies and NZ compete in sports. Friendly rivalry and all that...possible as big as the "friendly" rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne. :rotfl:

The Sydney Melbourne rivalry is special and fun.

Nu Zuland is just an island we poke fun at and ridicule...because it is ridiculous...

Melbourne would be lovely....but for the Melbourites :lmao:
I mean seriously...I do like Melbourne...it just isn't Sydney...

Nu Zuland...meh...I have no time for it...

We'd miss the Apples.

According to the Government Tassie don't make enough...:confused3

We have a 'trade agreement' to support Nu Zuland by buying their apples. Even though they are infested with bugs that are NOT in Australia.
about 25% of shipments get knocked back due to infestations and quarantine risk. But we don't inspect EVERY one. So sadly...
That nation...
Is constantly threatening our famers livelihoods because of our "trade agreements"

Okay....I'll stand up New Zealand (only because I'm one of those Melbournians you probably don't have time for either :teeth:). It is quite a nice little place....and it is 3 hours closer to the US than we are. Its a lovely place for tourists. Afterall, Middle Earth is there. :wizard:

I don't like Lord of the Rings...Middle Earth isn't a selling point...

No argument for me about NZ apples.

But we would still miss Tassie. Afterall, they are the testing ground for the NBN.

BTW - I think I'm heading back to your Dad's old company. Will know more next week.

My dad's "OLD" company???

Do you know something I don't know......

He's still there? Why did I think he'd retired?

And was I right in the company or did I imagine that too?

I've been catching up on the Aussie TRs.

There's just so many more Aussies on the Dis now.

Nope....no retiring...we need the income :rolleyes1 and he is a very boring man with few interests...
He's too expensive to fire...

He indeed does work for that evil telco that has recently changed it's logo colour....rather disturbingly.
