What is a good breakfast strategy at the park in the AM?

Haven't done this in years as we normally try to take advantage of the smaller crowds early on.

Will be staying at the CBR resort. Would driving in be better at saving time or taking the bus?

Let's address your food question first.....

For me, breakfast, albeit the most importanlt meal of the day, is one of those things that is not a big priority for me while on vacation. If there is a coffee shop or Waffle House or something nearby, I am more apt to go that route if for no other reason than to avoid large crowds and higher prices to boot.

That said however, do consider that character dining is one of those 'must do's' especially if you have kids and/or you are simply enamored with certain characters. For that, ther is definately no shortage of places to go within the world but do keep in mind that ADR planning then comes into play.

As for the driving question, I would prpbably rely heavily on Disney Transportation (bus, monorail or boat). While you wouldn't have to pay for parking as a WDW guest, do you really want to hassle with the daily rigors of parking lot wars? A lot will really depend on what you itinerary is for any given day. You might want the car for either of AK or MGM but it will simply come down to what works best for you.

If you want to do breakfast in the parks and still arrive early in the park to miss the crowds, I believe that the restaurants have early dining reservations! So theoretically you could book an 8am breakfast in the park you are visiting that day, and still do the park before the crowds arrive...

If this is wrong, please do let me know, as i am hoping to do this on at least one day on our next trip...

We are an early touring family, and now we eat pop tarts and granola bars on the bus on the way to the parks.

We planned on eating at Starring Rolls at MGM once and the line was soooo long, it wasted 35 min. of our early morning touring time. And that was in Oct. when it wasn't a busy time.

Since we have a "snack" breakfast, we try and have a sit-down breakfast around 11:00. Many of your character breakfast have ressies up to 11:30. By that time we are quite hungry and are ready for a break from our touring!

Hey, you are giving away my top secret strategy :lmao: :lmao:

Just kidding, this is exactly what we do. Next up is CP at MK and I really don't care if the kids don't like Pooh and friends anymore. ;)

The best part is walking into an empty park.

We always get breakfast at the Main st. Bakery when we are in the MK. I always have to get French Toast Loaf at least twice on every trip.

I also vote for Crystal Palace as early as possible. The PP is right, there is nothing like walking down Main St. all by yourself!

I agree with CP before the park opens.
You can also go to the Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK and the Hollywood and Vine Breakfast before the park opens.
I am not sure about Akershus (sp?).
