Breakfast at BOG--splitting meals, will this be enough?

I don't think that is anywhere close to enough food, especially if you aren't planning anything for lunch with a 17 year old boy. The plates are DEFINITELY a single serving. We are not big breakfast eaters and we each ate all of our meal plus a pastry.

You're allowed to share plates at BOG breakfast? With the fixed price I saw online, I assumed everyone got charged like a buffet or LTT. If I don't have to order my children anything, (I refuse to pay that price for cereal), a reservation here is more tempting.

Yes. Our family of three splits one kids order of crepes then fill the voids other places.

My 19 year old son and I split the bounty breakfast (not sure what they call it at Bog--eggs, sausage, etc) and the pastries. It was enough (I did eat less than him). It was fine for us. I'd pick two of the biggest offerings and split them if you are going to split. Then you could do snacks or light lunch later on.

Rather than buying the 3 entrees...I'd probably pick up some more substantive food for lunch...you could probably buy both boys CS lunch for money saved on one breakfast platter...
Thanks! I will look into that as well. We are going to be park hopping 3 parks that day (MK morning, HS afternoon, EP evening) so I was hoping to minimize stopping for food as much as possible...but maybe a noon (ish) counter service stop would work well. :)

Wow, this is a game changer for me. Off to see what food is available on the kids menu. I was going to order the donut thing since I don't like eggs. But I don't really like donuts either. I can also split something with my niece since it's confirmed you are allowed to split.

I guess I will need to see what my niece wants to eat. Then figure out if we can share or if she orders and adult, I might do the crepes. Would help if there were more photos on Allears.net. I will check here on the Dis and see if I can see what the portions look like. They do appear to be small, but have names that make them sound large.

The kids' meals are the tiniest things you've ever seen, so if you split one, you both will probably be wanting a meal in an hour or two...just something to keep in mind...

I was actually going to order a children's breakfast for myself, just because I like oatmeal and I only saw it on the children's menu. Is it so small that I would need to order two? I am a female and am usually satisfied with a bowl of oats and some fruit for breakfast for some frame of reference.

Wow, you can even split just a kid's meal?! That's crazy to me that they allow this with how strict they are other places. I wonder why they charge the fixed prices then.
Yes, you can order just a cupcake no matter how many people are on the reservation. As long as you order something you won't get charged the no show fee.

It all depends on why you made the ADR. If its a pre park opening ADR or just to see inside a $28 bowl of oatmeal is kind of insane and you'e better off just getting one bowl of oatmeal and brining in your own fruit and maybe a breakfast bar or something to help supplement till lunch (or a cinnamon roll, etc). If you really like oatmeal, thats what you want that morning and BOG is where you intend on eating all your breakfast , one bowl more than likely will not be enough.

Our DD is the only reason we make the ADR in the first place because she loves the idea of eating in "beasts castle". When we can find a PPO ADR we just pre order something for her then make our way to Mine Train or Peter Pan.

Okay, so I just made BOG ADRs for breakfast for 9 of us. 2 are only going to be 1 year at the time of the trip. Am I understanding correctly that this is NOT $24 per person, but per what is actually ordered and that everyone needs to order something so that we aren't charged a 'no show' fee? Did I have to put the 1-year-olds on the reservation?

No. Not everyone has to order something. You can all (or just some) show up and you only pay for what you order.

Yes you can absolutely share, we have done it a few times. We had 4 adults and we shared 2 entrees.

We have 3 adults and a 11 year old and are using DDP. I was also thinking about only ordering 3 meals and an extra drink. We have one big eater and 2 that will be full after one or two pastries.
So 2 meals were enough for 4 adults for your party ?

not much food with cronut. and you're already eating pastries.
I'd get the bacon-egg sandwich. it was good. more filling.
the meats dish was great.

But I think think you will need a light lunch. not just snacks. I'd plan on splitting a couple of counter service lunches.

Yes 2 was enough for us, DH is a big eater and he was even full. We have done this twice now, works out well for us!
