Hey! Just wondering...My DH is a big breakfast eater...yet he is dying to ride Mission Space. I've read MS and food don't always mix...If we have a 7:10PS @ Chef Mickeys...how long would You wait?
He's worried, the rest of us think we'll be ok by 10 or 11 or so...
Thanks!!

Mission Space + Breakfast = Bad Idea.

Personally, I'd do MS on a day when you aren't having breakfast, or at least wait until 11 or noon before riding.

This won't help you too much, but like anything, it all depends on the person.

I got queazy just thinking about Mission Space but was determined to ride it. When the ride was over, I wondered what the fuss was all about. On the other hand, my friend, who never gets sick, felt awful afterwards - however, his lunch remained intact.

I would recommend he eat something light if this is a concern.

I would have to agree....breakfast + mission space = no go!!!!
He could wait until later that day......before lunch should be ok!!
I am terrible with spinning rides, but survived mission space! I was glad I only had a bagel before!! I also did mission space right before we were leaving epcot for the day!

:sunny:

I think that since you are having breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 7:10 and Epcot probably doesn't open until 9am (is it an EMH day for Epcot?) and it will take a little time to get from the Contemporary to Epcot, I think you will probably be digested enough to weather the ride fine.

Personally, I wouldn't eat a meal at the Garden Grill (in Epcot) and then immediately ride MS afterwards. I would be fine riding MS at about an hour after I finished my meal. I think between the time it will take for you to get from the Contemporary to Epcot and then the time you will spend waiting in line, if you generally don't suffer from motion sickness, you'll be fine.

FYI - my DH who doesn't like roller coasters and isn't too fond of TOT (he doesn't like the weightless feeling of the drops) got off of MS and said "is that it?"

Hmmm...

What I did was ride it prior to eating dinner. So that way I had and empty stomach. Just tell him not to close his eyes and he'll be fine.

I would definitely wait at least 2 hours. However, I don't have any experience with riding MS right after eating, so can't say for sure what the effect on me would have been. That ride made me feel a little off, though, so where I could probably eat before riding TOT and have no problem whatsoever, I would wait with MS.

Thanks everyone for the great advice...I think he'll be Ok by 11:00 or so...shoot! he'll be getting hungry again by then!
I just gently remind him at breakfast how much he wants to ride...
Thanks Again!
