Break out the bubbly and warn the waiters...she's coming back!

TWO WEEKS FROM TONIGHT

At just about this very moment. I'll be grooving to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy with Jen/Jenjolt and maybe Heather/Circusgirl. I can't wait. I have to catch up on their songs (BBVD- not Jen and Heather). I only know "You and Me and the Bottle Makes Three." ;) No comments from the peanut gallery. :lmao:

And then it's off to Rose & Crown for dinner. Will it shock you if I say I think I already know what I'm ordering?

Welsh Dragon - as recommended by many a DISer. I want the souvenir cup too! :thumbsup2

Either samosas or the cheese plate. What do you think? Maybe both? ;)

Fish & Chips - quite possibly with an extra side of potatoes... don't judge me. :rotfl:

Another Welsh Dragon? A Guinness?

Warm apple crumble :cloud9:

Then it will be time to "gather 'round the fire" for Illuminations Reflections of Earth! Perfect way to end an evening.

Christine, I might be able to make your appetizer choice a bit easier. IIR - the samosas were removed from the menue a couple of months ago and replaced with more traditional British fare such as Scotch Eggs.

For my dessert at R&C, it will be the Bailey's Triffle.

Charles is ready -- he told me the other day that he thought we really needed this trip -- I agree -- I know I really need a drink from one of the WS kiosks!

Isn't all the Disney World news exciting??? I can't wait to eat at the new Beauty and the Beast restaurant!

Cheese Plate, Cheese Plate, Cheese Plate. Truuuuust LL. ;)

I squealed like a little girl when I read about the Ariel dark ride. I am so super excited. It makes me feel like I did when I used to watch Little Mermaid when I was a kid.

Oh and Beast's restaurant? SUPER COOL! :yay:

Did y'all see the news????

Fantasyland expansion = true! :thumbsup2

Adios to Toontown - I will have to spend some time there this trip.

Ariel dark ride!

Cinderella's country chateau!

Beast's castle restaurant - CS by day and TS by night - sounds cool!

Expanded Dumbo!

And a 3D Star Tours coming to California! Can't wait til it comes to FL!! :yay:

:cool1::cool1: I LOVE ALL THIS INFORMATION!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! :cool1::cool1:

Two weeks from this moment we'll be dining at Rose and Crown you'll be enjoying your Welsh Dragon and I'll be deciding on what dessert I want!! I'm definitely getting the Fish and Chips...is there anything better LOL!!!!! I'll have to get a different appy and then we can try a bit of each of ours!!!!

Sounds like a plan, Jen. I can't wait!!

You're kidding?! :faint: AllEars needs to catch up on the menus. Well, good thing I can still get samosas at Sanaa and as you can see below LL highly recommends the cheese anyway.

Thanks for the info! Bailey's trifle... hmmm...........

Charles is ready -- he told me the other day that he thought we really needed this trip -- I agree -- I know I really need a drink from one of the WS kiosks!

I am relieved that Charles is ready! He does know that a DIS'ers definition of ready means leaving the room, right? ;)

I think the news is VERY exciting. I love new reasons to go back. And MK SO needs a good TS restaurant for dinner.

Cheese Plate, Cheese Plate, Cheese Plate. Truuuuust LL. ;)

Cheese plate it is. I take your recommendation.

The Ariel ride sounds cool. As does the restaurant. I wonder how long it will take for all this to come to fruition?

:cool1::cool1: I LOVE ALL THIS INFORMATION!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! :cool1::cool1:

Doesn't it sound awesome? :hyper:

Have you ever read the Hichhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Then you know that the best advise always is: DON'T PANIC! :lmao:

But on a more serious note: Really, I am sure that you are well prepared for your trip. The trip can be a wonderful as you want it to be, even if you packed the blue shirt instead of the green one you might have packed if you had thought more about it... And WDW is not a village in the Himalayan, even if you forget something, you can buy it there! :thumbsup2

YES!!! All the more reason to keep coming back!! ;)

I'm ready to start planning now! 2012/2013... here I come!

Thanks! I haven't read that book but I've always meant to. Just never got around to it! You are right whatever I forget (and I'm sure it will be something!) I can buy there!

Disney item for the day- I just took the "who is your Disney twin" quiz on facebook. Any guesses????

JACK SPARROW!!!!!! pirate:

You are a very mischievous trouble maker who doesn't play by the rules. You are a little immature and selfish. But you are very witty which makes ...up for your flaws. You are secretly a genius with a lot luck. You would do just about anything to get what you want. You like to act like you care for no one but yourself but deep down you would give up Davey Jones heart for your friends. When ever in doubt.. BRING OUT THE RUM.

I always knew I was a genius! :lmao: ;)

I always knew I was a genius! :lmao: ;)

Now I know I'll love you. :lmao:

I'll try to keep the flirting to a minimum. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just kidding, hon! I know how you feel, I am so worried about meeting everyone. What if you all don't like me? What if you look at me and think, yuck??? :lmao: Silly, right?

Anyway, you and I need to remember the same thing. We already know we like each other, now we get to meet in person in the happiest place on earth! :goodvibes

Love it!!! Now I need to head over and take that quiz!

Argh. pirate: Some of those quizzes are fun... and perfect for getting into the Disney mood!

:lmao: You pirate, you! pirate:

Yup, that's me. The rum and the witty genius part are clearly true... the rest? :confused3 ;)

You were the first person I thought of when it spit out the result!

I'm so glad you understand the anxiety. I love what you said - we're already friends meeting in the happy place. I can't wait! :yay:

I don't mean to alarm anyone but I, yes I, have started packing!! :faint: Yes, the queen of packing the night before has actually begun preparing. Camera batteries are charging. Other chargey cords and stuff have been gathered. Vera has come out of the closet. I'm starting to think about what to wear.

I know! Craziness! I just don't want a repeat of night before insanity. And Heidi reminded me on her trip report how nice it is to come home to a nice clean house. Not one that looks like a hurricane whipped through while I was in a panic looking for item x.

I do have a question re: laundry in Disney. Any of you do it? Is it an awful pain? I'll be there for 10 days. And since my visits last year I've gotten more serious about working out. And fear if I go 10 days without I'll never get back on the horse. :sad2: But that means a whole other element to packing... workout clothes. That get sweaty and gross. I don't know if I have enough room in the suitcase for workout clothes for each day plus everything else plus room for souvies?? Oh the dilemmas, it's so tough to be me.

As an aside, that's another plus of DVC- washer/dryer in the 1 and 2 bedrooms. Let's see if I can use fuzzy Disney logic/math to justify a DVC purchase.

On the weather front, I am happy to report that today's extended forecast featured a change to sun, sun and more sun as well as a move from the upper 80's to the more comfortable lower 80's. Here's hoping it stays there! Ironically as much as I refuse to believe the bad forecasts, I am resolute that THIS is the forecast!! ::yes::

I'm right there with you - started packing this weekend. I have a drawer in my sewing room with "DisneyWorld Stuff" so that makes things a bit easier. I have a few things to pick up this week and hope to be finished packing next weekend (for the most part, anyway).

House has been cleaned (my parents have been visiting for two weeks) but my son will be staying here and taking care of my cats while I'm gone. So I'm sure it won't be clean when I return. That is whey I decided to come home on Saturday instead of Sunday. Gives me an extra day before I have to go back to work to get unpacked and organized.

I start almost every day out with a run at WDW (some short, some longer) and yes, I get icky and sweaty. So I do laundry while I'm there. I'll be there for 16 days and doing a fair number of special events (extra outfits required) so there s no way I can pack that much stuff.

A lot of my stuff can be handwashed and hung to dry. If I need to do a load of whites or something, I have to do it at the "communal laundry facilities"...no fancy schmancy DVC digs for me! It isn't too bad - I do it late at night and sit nearby at the Petals Pool Bar (drink in hand) waiting for the dryer to go off.

My dilemma this year is...should I bring my Pal Mickey...or not. If it were just him, it would not be a big deal. But, admittedly, I'm a bit obsessed and he has a VERY extensive wardrobe (enough to fill a small suitcase). OK - I'm very obsessed. :rotfl2: He will probably come but with a only a few changes of clothing.

WOOT!!! We have a pirate, a genie, and a princess in our mix!! It's going to be a great trip!!

Oh yes a 2012/2013 trip is already in the making believe you me!!!!

So yes I am a laundry doer at Disney, I'm also bringing workout clothes with me and while I am there I will be working out, like you I dno't want to jump off that bandwagon!!! I also like being able to clean my stuff halfway through because then I don't have to worry about as much laundry on the way home and that is worth its weight in gold to me! Not only do I not want to come home to a disaster (although Phillip in charge of the house for 9 days...it will most likely be one LOL) I don't want to do a lot of laundry either...so I do laundry!!!

OOH I thought about starting to pack this week, but it will be a lot easier with Phillip gone next week for me to spread stuff around and then do a cleanup when I'm done...so packing will begin next Sunday LOL!

We did laundry last year. Granted it was while we were at Pop so we just threw in the clothes, enjoyed the pool and waited for them to be done. It worked out really well for us plus when we got home we didn't have to immediately get the laundry going. :thumbsup2

I am SHOCKED that you have started packing. All this DISing with ocd packers is obviously paying off.

You're packing already, C???

I am with Heidi -- I thought about packing today. I made lists and assessed what was in the trip drawer.

That's the way to go! It looks like you are really getting into trip mood if you can be bothered with packing!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I have done laundry regularly, I just don't wash my best shirts in foreign washers... But it's a great help for packing if you count on washing your t-shirts in the middle of the trip as it reduces volume! And thus frees space for work out cloths! I usually just put the stuff in and then disappear until it is approximately the time for thing to be done. I think it gives you a time estimate. I count on nobody wanting to steal used wet cloths... Just be prepared to be back in time, so nobody empties the washer once it is done to put in their cloths. To be honest, being used to shared washers at my college accomodations, I just leave a big plastic bag on the top of the washer and if I am late, then whoever feels the need to empty the washer can put my cloths in there. For things that can't go into the drier, there is a cloth line in the shower and things dry pretty well in there.

Now, don't laugh, but as excited as I am to be meeting so many DISers I am also nervous. What if they don't like me? :scared:

Living with the Land is down for refurb. I am sad. But on the brightside, the TTA re-opened!! :woohoo: Anything else (other than Space Mountain) down for refurb?

Everybody's going to like you! We've met nothing but the nicest people in all of our DIS meets, and we have had quite a few.

TTA opening back up is cool.

Hope you find a good solution for the workout clothes/washing situation. Throwing yesterday's sweaty clothes in the washer while you take a swim today sounds like a good thing. Maybe you could alternate between swimming and real workouts and do something fun and productive while you're washing.

Best of everything to you as these last days dwindle down and this awesome trip comes to life!

Forecasts will change many times. Don't stress over the weather, since there's nothing you can do to control it. Hope for the best, don't be surprised at the worst, and be prepared for whatever you get.

Packing, yeah! It is always fun to start packing, makes it even more real!

I have never done Disney laundry. However if I were there 10 days AND working out, I think I'd have to. Workout clothes would get stink I think and I would probably just get up early or do the laundry one night.

So excited for you!

Allyson
