Break out the bubbly and warn the waiters...she's coming back!

I LOVE that.....I'm just afraid it is going to become my newest obsession too!!!

This new little game is going to drive me nuts!:lmao:

Be careful, ladies... it is addicting! :laughing:

I vote you do the ABCs of Disney Drinks next LOL!! And no you are not the only one who goes to sleep thinking of Disney however I'm usually trying to get my intinerary straight in my head LOL!

Sometimes I do that too - try to remember my itinerary. Sometimes I try to remember the order of the pavilions around World Showcase. I'm sick. Seriously sick. :lmao:

I play the same game to go to sleep! Usually I'll do characters or rides.

D- Dino Diner
H- Herbie's Drive-In (stand in DHS)

Great minds think alike, Heidi! Thanks for filling in a few letters! :)

Have you been to the House of Blues in DTD?

And if bars count as well, Dawa Bar at AK (near Tusker House) serves nice drinks!

I have not been to House of Blues? That definititely fulfills the H. Now in terms of actually going there, do you recommend it? Not sure if bars count for the purposes of this game but visiting Dawa bar is most definitely on my to-do list! :thumbsup2

Oh, I totally want to play the ABC drinks game. :lmao:

I love the ABC game! What a great idea!!!

I think you should do the drinks one next! :lmao:

I think the drinks one will be next. Maybe tonight! :rotfl:

I have been having so much trouble sleeping and after you told me about this game a few days ago I have been playing it. I did dining one night and then characters last night. It's fun!

I'm glad it's working for you! The character one would be hard. I'll have a much easier time with drinks. ;)

I am a lucky girl for many reasons. But one specifically that I’m thinking of right now. And that is because of all of the friends who I have met because of this community.

It’s quite amazing when you think of it, really. That so many of us from different parts of the world, stages in life, professions, political affiliations etc. can come together with the love of one thing – WDW. And not just come together, not just help each other with trip planning (although that is SO fun), but share life’s ups and downs, celebrations & sorrows, and the boring day to day. I never would have guessed it was possible. I knew I loved WDW- that’s for sure- but I never dreamed that I would meet some of my very best friends because of it.

And now, I cannot believe my good fortune, but for whatever reason, this little trip I booked back in December 2008 on a bounceback deal has turned into a bit of a mini DIS’er meet. And many – but certainly not all- of my new found DIS family will be in the World at the same time.

So far, I believe the following will be in WDW around the same time and I hope that we can meet (although fully respect personal privacy and promise I am not in any way, shape or form a stalker. ;) )

In no particular order:

Jen (Jenjolt)
Paula (Iluvcrush)
Leslie (Lady Lallie aka LL)
Heather (CircusGirl)
Lynn & Chuck (nts4wdw & constablemickey)
DisneyDeeva
Heidi (mryppns)
Jen (Megansmom)
TK (TarzansKat)
Mary Ellen (MEK) – I think we overlap by maybe a day? I hope!
One Disney Princess & her hubby who may want to do her own reveal :rolleyes1

So sorry if I’m missing anyone in my giddy excitement to get this posted. If I forgot you, please let me know – and accept my apologies! :flower3:

As I said, there are many more DIS friends who are not fortunate enough to be able to travel this fall. I am equally grateful for their friendship and look forward to the new friendships that are forming every day on the DIS.

This board is full of special people; that is for sure! ::yes::

Peace, love and mickey mouse to you all! :upsidedow

Awww! What a wonderful post! :hug:

I echo all those sentiments and can actually vouch that you are not a stalker having met you in "real" life. :laughing:

I am seriously excited about all the DISers being in WDW at the same time and I know that I will think of all the others holding down the boards for us often while I am there. :goodvibes

Oh, hon. I feel the same way, and you put it into words so eloquently. This board is such a blessing for me. I'm really looking forward to meeting you, and anyone else who will be down there when we are. It's a treat that so many of us are going at the same time. :goodvibes

We're (Dawn and Dale) hoping to meet some of you that have trips that overlap ours! :goodvibes

Gosh I wish we were going.....but you all are going to have so many great stories to come back and share!

Ah, Christine! We think you are pretty special and wonderful yourself! :hug: That's why we are all flocking down there to meet up with you! :goodvibes

Here Here C!! How wonderfully put!!!! I can't wait to meet you and many of the others that you have mentioned!! As it has been said DIS has allowed for making of so many friends on here and I am truly blessed!!!

You captured it - the boards have totally been a blessing and such a delightful surprise. I never thought I'd be one of "those" people with 1,000+ posts but here I am... and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Other than actually in WDW... :rolleyes1

We're (Dawn and Dale) hoping to meet some of you that have trips that overlap ours! :goodvibes

That would be great, Dawn! I can't wait to meet more DIS'ers. I think I saw on either LL's or Jen & Paula's TR a few more people who will also be there, if you can believe it! Who knew it would be such a popular week!

Gosh I wish we were going.....but you all are going to have so many great stories to come back and share!

Gosh, wigd. I wish you were going too! As Jackie said on another thread you just push a button and miraculously you have a reservation. ;) Just kidding. I know it's not that easy; I wish it was! But I'm sure with our travel "habits" we'll meet up someday in the World!

just think of all the TRs that will help us get thru the winter!!!!

The stories are going to be something. I may have to get you all to sign non-disclosure forms... :rolleyes1

Ah, Christine! We think you are pretty special and wonderful yourself! :hug: That's why we are all flocking down there to meet up with you! :goodvibes

So sweet, Jackie! I am so delighted that it is turning out this way. The only way it could be better would be if everyone was able to go. But at least that gives us more to look forward to!

Here Here C!! How wonderfully put!!!! I can't wait to meet you and many of the others that you have mentioned!! As it has been said DIS has allowed for making of so many friends on here and I am truly blessed!!!

Thanks, Jen. :goodvibes I am so very much looking forward to this trip and to meeting DIS'ers. I've never carried a LGMH before but I think I'd better now so that I can be "identified"! :lmao:

Another rainy day in New England. :sad2: What else to do but Disney planning! :rolleyes: Continuing on our tour around the World covering must do's, never done's and want to do's is Epcot!

MUST-DO’S
* Champagne (what else would kick off my list?)

* A lazy afternoon (or ‘noons) touring World Showcase

* Illuminations

* Soarin

* Spaceship Earth (I giggle every time I see the lady with the yellow tights- in fact was considering this as a MNSSHP costume)

* The Land :blush: I’m such a dork. I still miss the song… Listen to the Land.

* American Adventure

NEVER DONE

* Club Cool- but yes, I have heard of Beverly... just in case any of you get any bright ideas. ;)

* Mission Space – the intense side – and I’m not going to either. I wasn’t wild about the mild side. Very close quarters. I got nervous.

* Haven’t eaten at: Rose & Crown, Teppan Edo, Morocco, Norway, 9 Dragons

* Off Kilter. For clarification I mean I haven’t seen them in concert. ;)

* Turtle Talk with Crush

WOULD LIKE TO DO THIS TRIP
(other than must do’s):

* Food & Wine festival! I’d like to try more, take more food porn, and report back to my fellow DIS’ers. I’ll be there the first week of F&W and can’t wait. Not sure I’ll do any of the special events. We’ll see. I’m not a foodie or a gourmet. Just like the booze and any fattening food! :laughing:

* Visa Character meet and greet – it was a long wait when I did it in October but I think the private time you get with the characters is worth it. And since I’ll have DIS buddies with me this time, we have to memorialize the trip with photos!!

* Rose & Crown

* All the movies – I didn’t do them on either of my ’08 trips – just the new Canada movie. I’d like to see the France and China movies again. Not sure about Norway.

* Tequila Bar – rumor has it one is opening in the Mexico pavilion… :rolleyes1

* Kim Possible missions- I can’t wait to be a special agent :thumbsup2

* Off Kilter – I feel like I need to see them to keep my LGMH :laughing:

* Chefs de France – would really like to go back for lunch. And no… that’s not (entirely) b/c of the cute waiters. :blush:

* Henna tattoo in Morocco

You're a better woman than me if you can sit thru that thing again. That's 10 minutes of my life that I will never get back.

Awesome Update!! Sorry the sun didn't stay out longer for ya C!!!

I love Spaceship Earth!!! I too giggle when I see her outfit because I can't beleive any lab tech would actually wear that but it must have happened LOL!!!!

I actually enjoy the France movie and I would be happy to go see that with you C!!!!

American Adventure :cloud9: well we know how much I love that LOL!

I didn't know you hadn't eaten at Rose and Crown...you will love it!! So Yummy!!!!!

I totally agree with you the wait for the Visa Character Meet is totally worth it, my favorite Disney memory with a character is there!!!!

I adore American Adventure. :lovestruc The little History geek in me just loves it. I feel very patriotic when I watch it.

I am liking your must do's! I am sure eating at Les Chefs has NOTHING to do with the man candy there. Nope, not at all. ;)

I have never done the Visa Meet N' Greet, but agree that it would be great photo ops!

I will die laughing if you dress as the woman from Spaceship Earth.

Can we you tease out your hair, too? And don't forget the wedge heel pleather go go boots. :lmao:

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I would love that costume. I think whoever designed that would say, "He-ey." :sad1: :rotfl2:

You have some great must dos. I highly recommend the Visa Meet and Greet. Honestly, I find the line (even if it's long) to be fairly quick moving, and you're right, that individual time with the characters is priceless, and it's given me some of my best vacation photos.

Also, I love, love, love, getting a henna tattoo, and I haven't done one in a couple of years. Sometimes DH and I will get the mix and I'll do mine at home before I leave, but it's a lot of fun to have it done there. :thumbsup2 I remember hearing (don't know if it's true) that pool water (chlorine) will weaken the dye, so if you do get the henna, plan it accordingly.

I think Turtle Talk is adorable! If you have time you should try and catch it! I also love American Adventure! It is one of my favorite things at Epcot! I always cry!

You should see the French movie -- after all, if you nab yourself a French waiter you should probably see where you are moving to! :rotfl:

* Kim Possible missions- I can’t wait to be a special agent :thumbsup2

You have fun with that. :rolleyes:

* Henna tattoo in Morocco

I plan on getting another one on this trip -- Chelsea and I just love the way henna smells!

Do you mean the Norway movie specifically? I have to say I haven't seen it since the early 90's but have read A LOT about it here on the DIS. Back in 06 ran through b/c was legitimately late for an ADR; in '08 ran through b/c I could. But feel like maybe I should see it? :confused3

Isn't American Adventure just great. That part when one son wears blue and the other grey.... always makes me teary!

Visa Meet and Greet is a must do!!

Well, don't want you to die or anything... :laughing:... but I may do that as a costume. :rolleyes1

I hear you can get tattoos now in Downtown Disney too... I'll be inked up by the time I head home!

I think Turtle Talk is adorable! If you have time you should try and catch it! I also love American Adventure! It is one of my favorite things at Epcot! I always cry!

So glad I'm not the only one who gets teary at American Adventure. I think I will try to check out Turtle Talk.

Ohhh how about Turtle Talk with 'CRUSH' (me)

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

i crack myself up!

You crack me up too. I'm not sure Crush would know what to do if he found himself chatting with you. ;)

:lmao: That's how I think of myself -- but I figure I am going to have a whole lot of fun "pretending" to be a foodie! :thumbsup2

Pretending to be a foodie. I'm right there with you. You can get your cookbook! I just thought of that! :goodvibes

Good call on the French movie. I should learn more about hubby's homeland. :laughing:

I will have fun with Kim Possible. So will you and Charles when I drag you in to consult on a mission. Trust me - after a grey goose slushie it will all become clearer. :upsidedow

Let's get tattoos together! :)

A cookbook, a pin, and a poster -- those are my souvenir desires! :thumbsup2

Good call on the French movie. I should learn more about hubby's homeland. :laughing:

The music is sensational -- luckily it is on the Four Parks One World CD -- I listen to it as much as I listen to the Soarin' music!

I will have fun with Kim Possible. So will you and Charles when I drag you in to consult on a mission. Trust me - after a grey goose slushie it will all become clearer. :upsidedow

Oh, everything is more fun with a Grey Goose Slushie! :laughing:

Let's get tattoos together! :)

That sounds like a great idea!!! Let's do it!
