I've been fortunate to travel the world, both as a student and, for the last 20 years, on business. I feel I have a pretty good basis with which to render an opinion on the subject of these tour groups. For what it's worth, when we were there last (in Mid-July last year), I found the Brazilian tour groups to be some of the most unruly and disgustingly behaved people I've ever witnessed. I was positively shocked that Disney allowed that behavior on property.
I would say there were days in the park where it seemed fully half of the crowds were in tour groups. Yes, many of them in an individual setting were polite and well behaved ... but get more than 10 together and they generally displayed absolutely no awareness of others around them, or consideration for their enjoyment. There was no concept of lining up, no hesitation to push others out of the way when they walked 8 or 10 abreast ... it was ridiculous. And if you didn't outrush the tour group leader to the FastPass line ? Forget it - you'd be waiting half a day to see an attraction.
On more than one occassion, our young child's stroller got stepped on or tripped over by a Brazilian kid running by or trying to cut in front. And Fantasmic ? Forget it. We lined up for an hour and a half only to have the flood gates open and the tour groups surge into the stadium, pushing right by our group of young kids, to the point where I had to use my frame (6'3, 275) to literally knock tourists out of the way. The stadium, once filled, degenerated into a raucous futbol stadium crowd chant that lasted for an hour until the show started, to the point where you couldn't even talk to the person next to you.
I've never seen any tour group in any other country in my life behave like this. I've certainly never in my life (even in my teens) behaved like this in a foreign country. Disney has obviously made their choice to support and encourage this type of behavior; all I can say is I hope it's worth it, because we cancelled our plans to return this July and I will never be going to the parks during January and July.
I was editing some vacation videos just the other weekend and watching the footage I took throughout the 10 days we were there and relived all over again how bad some of it was.

It's a free country and I am all for people visiting to help the economy and such. But being a little bit aware of the language of the country you are in could make it a better experience. I personally liked the girl trying to order a pretzel and the pretzel guy is just staring at her like "What in the world are you trying to tell me you want??"
and was nasty about it. She could have said excuse me. No, she was not Brazilian, she was American. That was the only really rude person I came across this trip.... Oh and the father who yelled at me when I went to play the Sorcerer's of the MK game. He had his back to the portal (not even next to it), digging through a diaper bag when I came up to play. I scanned my key card and he yelled "man why did you do that, I was going to play"
like I was suppose to know he was going to play?? Ok, you want to play, you have your items ready and you are near the portal (or at least facing it). He was American also.. they were the only two rude guests I came in contact with... I apologized to the game player, I really didn't know he wanted to play. The rude wheelchair guest, I just ignored her and moved out of her way as fast as possible. She would have ran me over had she gotten the opportunity!
