Brand New Preferred AP Passes

I understand that brnad new preferred ap passes start the first time you use them, not when you purchase them. All this talk on the board about renewing preferred ap has me a little confused. But I think I'm right in that brand new preferred ap's activate on first use. ???

I believe that is correct. Brand New APs should not have an expiration date until first use.
