Kat-

Did you ever hear about the King beds? Have they been replaced too?

James and I are due in September and I've requested a refurbished room. (Don't really care where) I'm hoping the King beds are new.

Yes, almost all of the king beds have been replaced as well. They have maybe 15 or 20 more of those to do in the Casitas buildings which are the last to be worked on.

:cool1::cool1::cool1:Yay!!!!!!!

I'm getting so excited...

My daughter is getting married in August, and it's boggling my mind. I think the trip in September will be such a great way to wind down from all the excitement of the wedding.

Thank you KatMark:goodvibes The bus stops being close to the front is an added bonus which I am sure I will appreciate even more when I'm leaving a park at the end of the day.

The bus service is the best i have experienced at WDW very efficient and rarely full.
As for the rooms they do look very clean, but not as colourful as when we went last (Dec 07).

I LOVE crossing 1st off my list...:yay:

We are thinking of staying at CSR in September, but I had a question. I see that all of the refurbished rooms will have queen beds instead of doubles. I know they are saving aside some doubles that will be replaced with Kings, but are the rooms that are redone now all have queens in them?

Is it possible to request Cabanas 9B, or are they not being used except conferences or business purposes? What is the next best building to request in the cabanas section? TIA!

Not all of the queen rooms are rehabbed, but if they are having queen beds, they have the beds. You can request Cabana 9B but if there is a convention going on it won't be available. A lot of people seem to really like Cabana 8A and 8B as well.

We were at CSR from June 26 - July 4th. We loved it!

We booked a standard room. I originally requested Cabanas when I booked in November. Then when I checked in on-line ten days prior to our stay, I requested ground floor, close to transportation.

We got all our requests. :cool1:We were assigned Cabanas 9A - ground floor. We stayed in 9130. Cabanas 9A worked out great for us! It was close to El Centre, close to the Dig Site and the same distance between two bus stops, Bus Stop 4 and Bus Stop 1.

The online check-in worked great. I got all my requests and didn't have to wait in a long line. :yay: I am the one with the dark shirt and tan shorts at the counter. The girl in the black shirt and checked skirt is the only one in the online check-in line. You can compare it to the long regular check-in line.

The renovated room was very nice. When I requested the ground floor, I was a little worried about possibly hearing people above us. I shouldn't have worried - we didn't hear anyone above us ever!

Enjoy!!! Have a great time!!! :yay:

Sounds like a great trip!

I was just reading over on the Canadian thread (discussing grocery delivery) that CSR charges a $10 package fee. Is this per package? :confused3

We usually ship some diapers, etc from Diapers.com (although hopefully DD will not need them this trip!) and have some groceries delivered, about 2 bags. We are coming down from Canada (try to cut down on luggage charges) and rely on Disney transportation...

TIA!

Just checked out today from our wonderful stay in Casitas 3. In an effort to "give a little back' for all the great info. I received from this thread...here's an update as of today. Today was "Move in all the Furniture Day" for Casitas 2 all floors. There were boxes and boxes of flat screens going in as well as lots of nightstands being rolled in from the parking lot. We had a 2nd floor room facing the lion fountains by the Spa. Should be done any day now. Our rooms in Casitas 3 (3272 and 71) were not refurbed. rooms.

Also surprising was that we got the new WDW mugs !! No more Pepper Market Mugs ! Yay ! We got our new mugs. They are not suppose to refill Pepper Market mugs any longer although I saw it being done frequently ! The Pepper Market menu has also changed since November which was another surprise for my Alfredo loving girls! No more alfredo! Also, probably not news, only "Tier 1" items are considered snacks. That's the muffins, rolls and assorted blah things ! No cinnamon rolls, etc. They are still avail. at Main Street bakery and are far better anyways!

Can't think of any other updates and it all might be old news anyways....haven't had time to read all that I missed as I didn't have internet at CSR. We are now at Four Points Cocoa Beach. Another person killed by lightning today! Too many deaths in the news lately! So sad! Any questions??

Theresa, thank you so much for the update. I'm glad you had a wonderful stay in Castias 3. I hope you'll do a full report when you get back.

I am sorry to hear about the person killed by lightening. It's been a bad coupel of weeks for deaths. I was at a wake last night for a 3-month old baby. The saddest thing I have ever gone to in my life.

Enjoy Cocoa Beach and I hope you'll post pics when you get back too.

It has been a bad last couple of weeks for deaths, I have to wonder what is going on.I lost a close family member a bit over a week ago and its been very hard for us.
I cannot imagine a baby's funeral, that would be extremely difficult.

Hello everyone,
I've been lurking for awhile since my family & I decided we were going to pick CSR this time...too "chicken" to register until now. :flower3:This is my first time posting anything anywhere.
So excited for our trip in November, as we're celebrating my daughter's 1st birthday, my Dad's 60th birthday, my brother's 30th birthday, and my Mom will actually have her birthday while we are at WDW (but I'm not putting how old she'll be since she wouldn't appreciate it). LOL.
It will be my first time to WDW as a married girl and a Mom, so this will be a whole new experience for me.
Wanted to say thanks for all the wonderful info, now I need all of your expertise. For rooms-what area you think I should request? I was thinking Cabanas 8a or 8b or one of the Casitas. We will be going Nov. 15-21 and will probably start our day early and come back to CSR every afternoon so the baby can nap (she'll be 14 months) and then go back to parks for dinner & more stuff. We have three rooms on our reservation.
Thanks in advance, you are all terrific!
P.S. Kathy--We are almost neighbors...I live in Lombard! :goodvibes

I just wanted to say welcome. You did extremely well for your first post..:goodvibes

I hope this vacation is all that you want it to be. You have chosen a great site to be writing in and you will get lots of help here.... Glad you chose us to start out with. Have a great day...
