Does anyone know what the service charge is to have a case of water shipped from Costco/how to have it addressed?

I know all of this is on here somewhere, but I can't find it now. When I originally read it we were planning to drive...just decided to FLY!

TIA! :goodvibes

Costco charged me $7.80 (that was the cost of the water plus the shipping) and CSR charged me a $10 handling fee when I went to sign for it.

On the Costco website, when you get to the part about where you want it shipped, put in your name, confirmation number, and arrival date, hotel name and address. Order the water a few days before your arrival date and it'll be there when you check in. You can pick it up at the Business Center.

It's SO worth it.

aubriee - I would be interested in hearing why you don't like the Ranchos? I like the look of them and was going to request 7B for our upcoming trip. We stayed in the Casitas in 2006 - I thought they were nice but seemed too much like a chain hotel anywhere in the US, the Ranchos seem a little more Disney to me. I like to hear negatives too!

We stayed in 7B last time and requested it again for this upcoming trip. We liked it since it was close to a bus stop, Dig Site and had a quite pool with laundry. The walk to El Centro wasn't bad at all. No longer then our walk when we stayed at POR.

ToyStory - the quiet pool and laundry were a big part of our 7B request. I'm happy to hear that the Ranchos are the least requested - maybe we will get the building we want!

I have a question for all of you CSR experts out there....

I know the refurb is supposed to be completed in October, but does anyone know when in October it should be complete?

The reason I ask is because I am currently booked at Pop from September 18 - October 2. However, I am thinking of upgrading to a mod. CSR would be my top choice and a large part of that is due to the gorgeous new rooms. Is it a pretty good bet that by that point, most of the rooms will be completed? Do you think there is much chance that I'd be assigned one of the "old" rooms?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Edited to add: I'm sorry if this same question has been asked recently, I wasn't able to read very much of this thread. (Although I'm sure if I upgrade I will spend the next two months reading it religiously!)

Good question. As of now, all of the Ranchos and Cabanas are done. Casitas 4 and 5 have been rehabbed. At this time, Casitas 2 is down for rehab of their first three floors (the 4th floor was done awhile ago). My understanding is that Casitas 2 will be down for the entire month of July. Then they will only have Casitas 1 and 3's first three floors to do (the 4th floor in those buildings is also already done). So if I were guessing, I would say very close to the early part of October.

Thanks so much for your fast response! It sounds like the rehab will be mostly complete by the time my trip rolls around. If we do end up upgrading, I think I will request the Cabanas or Ranchos section just to be on the safe side. Thanks again!

Thank you SO much! It does definitely sound worth it, especially when the parks are charging $2.50+ for a bottle!

BTW, where is the Business Center?

i have a question/thought if only casita 1 will be left to be re furbed by august does that mean if you are staying in august like the 16 you will get a refurbed room(sorry for spelling)

Castias 2 is now being worked on. They still have to do Casitas 1 and 3. However, once Casitas 2 is done, that will mean that 11 of the 13 buildings are complete so your chances of getting a refurbed room are pretty darn good.

Does anyone know how late the ticket windows are open. i need to buy my annual pass prior to a late night check-in at CSR. This Saturday night. Also KatMark, I did my online check in tonight. I could not add special request, so you recommend that I fax it 3 days out....right?

That is when we've always sent in our fax...three days prior to our arrival. And they've always noted that they had it. Good luck! :thumbsup2

I haven't been around for a long time now so sorry if this has been asked before. We stayed last in Dec 07 and are going again Dec this year,we love the resort.Has much changed since then, and we won't arrive until about 1am so will there be any problems checking-in?

All of the rooms are being rehabbed (it will be done October 09). All of the rooms have either two queen beds or a new king bed, flat screen television, sliding doors instead of curtain between bathroom/bedroom, new furniture, carpet, drapes, shower curtain, sink area, etc. The marina is no longer open except seasonably/holidays.

I can't imagine you'll have any problems checking in at 1 a.m. DH once arrived at 3:30 in the morning (my oldest DS and I were already there and sleeping) and he got keys to the room for him and our youngest son and no problems.

Thanks for that we can't wait to go again. Is the bar by the lake still open, its nice to have a relaxing drink there at the end of the day?

Oh yes, forgot to tell you about that. Yes, the Laguna Bar is still open. They've also added Cafe Rix -- a new "grab and go" section (it replaced the old little shop) and added the new Rix Lounge as well. A new upscale bar (no children after 9 p.m.) with live music. Also, not sure if they were there when you were last there...can't remember when they added them, there are tables by the lake to eat your food at (with cushioned seats, etc.).

Yep the seats were there, roll on Dec.:thumbsup2

Here's a couple pictures of the new rooms so you don't have to go through every page:

New Information regarding the Rix Lounge:

Rix Lounge will no longer be open on Sundays and Mondays, unless there is
a big group or private party.

Tuesdays-Saturdays, they will open from 8 pm to 2am.

Thursdays-Saturdays there will be a DJ starting at 9 pm.

We are staying here from Oct. 4-13 and I can't wait! The new rooms look wonderful and the pool looks amazing. I think my major concern is the bus service. Does anyone know how the buses at CSR are and do they get full very often? (esp during the October time period) Thank you:cutie:

We have never used the buses (we rent a car). But I have read time and time again that the bus service at CSR is usually very good. You can have a bad day anywhere, but people consistently say that the bus service at CSR is some of the best. People very rarely have to stand in the morning and only occasionally at night when leaving the parks. And the CSR bus stops are usually close to the front of the pick-ups at the parks.
