Hi guys,

I am sure this has been asked before, but we are staying CSR Aug. 25 - Sept. 1 we've requested Casitas 4 or 5 connecting rooms, as we are traveling with friends.

Is Pepper Market a quick service?

And...

Do they have good adult "drinks" at Siesta's? I can't seem to find them listed anywhere.

THANKS!:worship:

Pepper Market is counter service -- you can get a rib eye steak at dinner for a counter service credit. They also have Cafe Rix which is a grab and go (there are pictures posted earlier in this thread--near the beginning).

Yes, Siesta's has adult "DRINKS". I often get one and go lay in my hammock by Casitas 5 drinking it. :drinking1

Hey folks! Me and DD got in near midnight last night due to our flight being delayed. We have a pool view refurbished room in 7B in the ranchos..right near the Cabanas and the bus stop! The CM told us that we are the first guests to stay in this refurbed room. Cool!

I brougt my laptop but my iPhone is really paying for itself. I'm posting while on the bus to the magic kingdom!

More later and of course I am "tweeting".

We are packing and getting ready for a 6:00AM flight on Monday. Did online check-in, faxed my room request, have been playing with the new online ADR to pick up a few more, got a confirmation call from Garden Grocer. I'm sure there are things I am forgetting. So I just keep checking back here for more last minute tips! First time at CSR, we can't wait to get there! Thanks to all for the great advice and info on this thread. princess:

Hi Carol Ann - We will be there with you Tuesday Morning for our first CSR stay - we requested Cabana 8A - I am soooo excited - I can't wait:banana: See you soon!! Jane

Hey everyone! Maybe we'll see you hanging around at the resort! We leave at 10 Monday morning for our first CSR stay too!! Hopefully we get a refurbed room!!:thumbsup2 We'll be decorating our room, so if you see it, say hi/leave a note!!! 2 more days and a wake up!

Awwwww....you are so sweet. Thank you. I'll survive...I'm living through everyone else's trips this year (and I still get to go to Marco Island! :) )

I lived through everyone's trips last year too. We had to cancel our annual trip last oct. due to the miracle of me being preggers. Of course my little girl was well worth canceling our trip it was still hard to call and cancel our ressies. I just through myself into this years trip. So I've been planning this one for 2 years now. :dance3:

I'm so glad I upgraded to CSR. I can't wait to try it out. We had originally planned on staying here but thought we'd save the $ and stay at Pop. I'm so glad it worked out by just shortening our trip a day. But now I have the dilemma of what ADR's to cancel.

Definitely worth cancelling for that miracle. CONGRATULATIONS! I so hope you enjoy your stay at CSR. I always tell people if you love it half as much as we do, we'll be thrilled.

Hi from my nice comfy bed at CSR!

We've been here two days and still haven't made it to El Centro. We did spend some time at the Dig Site with our feet in the water as we waited for our mousekeeper to finish cleaning the room. We'd planned on goin back but...they suddenly closed the pool for an "unscheduled cleaning" (Code Brown). So we hung out at the quiet pool just outside our room. It's a very nice size with a bathroom you use your room key to open. And the laundry room is just around the corner from there. I'm loving where this building is!

Oh, another big plus for CSR: the bus stop for this resort is right at the front at DHS and MK. Plus the ride to both parks is pretty short.

Off to bed. I can hear the fireworks!

Thanks for the visual!! I can almost imagine myself there....thank goodness I only have 2 weeks until I don't have to imagine anymore!:banana:

Thanks she was TOTALLY worth a trip to WDW. Even if her BIG sis didn't think it was right at the time (has since changed her mind!). We tried for 7 years to have anohter baby and I wasn't taking an chances.

I am so excited about staying here . I'm only affraid we are going to fall completely in LOVE w/ it and not want to stay anywhere else . I guess when I start planning a trip a year in advance I'll have to start saving for it as well.

Where should I request to be? I'd like to be close to the main pool and not to far from El Centro and a bus stop. Thanks

One of the Cabanas for sure if you want to be close to pool and El Centro. I think 8A or 8B would be perfect!

Okay, I'm new at this room request thing, so I thought I'd ask the experts on this thread for opinions. :goodvibes

I'm faxing a letter to CSR to make two requests. One, the phone CM snippily informed me wasn't a request because when I asked for adjoining rooms he said "That's what a Grand Gathering means". :confused3 The other request is for a renovated room - don't care where, as long as it's one of those gorgeous new rooms! Here's what my letter will say:

Dear Friends at the Coronado Springs Resort:

Our Grand Gathering is arriving on July 4th, 2009 for a much anticipated birthday celebration at your resort. We would be most appreciative if we could be assigned adjoining rooms that have been recently renovated. We have seen the newly renovated rooms, and we think they are just beautiful! This is a very special vacation for our family, so thank you in advance for anything you could do to honor this request.

Our Grand Gathering number is XXXXXXX, and our individual reservation numbers are: XXXXXXX, XXXXXXXX, and XXXXXXX.

Thank you again,
The XXXXXXXs, XXXXXs, and XXXXXXs (Family Names)

Two questions for you, DISsers - is that the correct format for the fax? And when should I send this - June 29th, 30th or July 1st? (Four days between the fax and arrival, four days including the arrival date, or four days including the fax date and arrival date?)

We've given up pretty much EVERYTHING discretionary to take our family to Disney this year, and I really really want a renovated room for my birthday!

Thanks for any tips...

Sounds perfect to me! We always send ours in three days prior to our arrival. So if we were arriving on Thursday of this week, I would have sent it this morning. I hope your requests are granted! pixiedust:

Hi guys! Our Disney vacation starts June 25th at CSR. We live in NC and are driving down on the 24th. Our original plan was to drive until we got tired and get a room, then get up the next morning and drive the rest of the way. However, my hubby is getting off work early, so we will be able to leave NC around 11 a.m. :goodvibes I have a few questions:

1) Is it to late to add an extra day to our stay? If so, will it cost me a fortune? (Only asking since we will most like arrive at midnight or so, just needing a place to sleep) Could I add a room only since we won't need meals for that day?

2) If it's not available does anyone have any suggestions of where we could stay that would be reasonable?

Thanks again guys for all the wonderful information on this board!:thumbsup2

Sounds great to me too, but I'm not sure they can have all three rooms adjoin. My understanding it that 1 room can only adjoin with one other. So you could have Room 1 join Room 2, but Room 2 would be seperate from Room 3. In all liklihood they will place you in three rooms in a row, with two of the rooms adjoining.

Hrmm... I don't actually care if the rooms are connecting, although I guess that would be nice for the night that Grandma and Grandpa are watching our two kiddos while we go to Raglan Road. :cool1: What can I say instead of adjoining if what I really mean is rooms next to each other?

"Connecting" rooms

"adjoining" = "near" in hotelspeak, as in on the same corridor or floor. It does not mean any of the rooms will be next to each other.

If there is availability, then it is not too late...you won't know until you call and ask. The price might be high though, not sure.

We've never stayed offsite, but there are plenty of small hotels all around Disney (Comfort Inns, etc.) and I'm sure you can get something for a reasonable price.

Adjoin
1 : to add or attach by joining

Adjoining rooms
Definition: Two guest rooms located next to each other which are connected by a door between them.

I would ask for rooms that are adjacent to one another

Adjacent
1. lying near, close, or contiguous;
