Boys shoes

As I learned on a thread that I recently authored, these thread take off and have a life of their own! :)

I can't even imagine packing for such a long trip as you have to pack for. You'll have a great time, though.

JimmyJack,

You brought back a memory with your comment about God not caring what you wore. I had that argument with my mother many, many times!!!!

I guess in the scheme of things, what does it matter if someone doesn't use DCL suggestions, does it really hurt me if someone doesn't dress up when I want to? I applaud DCL for their policy. If you want to dress up, you are invited to do so on a suggested night to make it seem a little fancier. If the table next to me doesn't, I don't think the world will come to an end.

CJSmith-tennis shoes, tennis shoes, tennis shoes let the kids be comfortable and save space!!!!!

Thanks again guys, tennis shoes it is! I really appreciate everyone's kind words and good wishes.

I'm in agreement with Clarabelle. It is Formal Night. Its unfortunate that DCL does not enforce it .They should. My son (7) will not be showing up in sneakers, shorts, etc on formal or semi-formal night. The other nights.....fine.

Yeah, I disagree too. Let people go as they wish. The dress code is enforced at Palo and I respect that. But when you have no other good option for dinner the more casual dressers need to be respected too. Luckily, I found this to be the case on the Disney Cruise although evidently it is not on other Cruise Lines. It is a vacation after all.

I figure my family will dress up because we enjoy it. If other's don't, I really don't care, nor do I really notice. After our cruise and reading these boards for months beforehand, I realized that all the stuff that we obsess about (clothes, chair hogging, dining rotations) really never came into play onboard. Relax with your family, celebrate and have a wonderful time.

This is so true! It's kinda like when you plan a wedding and obssess over every mundane detail (who sits next to who, will the napkins match the color on the invitations.....) but once it's all said and done you can't believe you worried about it so much. It is all about relaxing, having a good time with your family and walking out of it with a lifetime of memories.
