Boycott trades of Blackheart's Quest items!

So we went through hell for nothing? I agree with the objection to profiting from a quest that SOOOOOOOOO many struggled to try to complete just once, but to place everything on sale is a complete slap in the face to those who worked hard for the last few days.

A slap in the face is what VMK has been giving everyone lately, they're not
doing a good job, so honestly if they sold the quest items I wouldn't be surprised.

I want it to remain unbuyable, tradeable but..
People want to trade, go ahead..
Greedy people are ONLY going to higher their prices..
Self-fish people ONLY completed the quest twice for themselves..
The true reward from this quest will only be rewarded to those who helped others, and had fun playing the quest.

This is making me sick! I'm seeing people asking for Blue Stitch for the silver ears. I propose we boycott the quest item trades. I'm seeing rich people only getting richer, and taking advantage of the fact that they muled a difficult quest that so many never got through. Let them keep their 5 or more TDM and umbrellas. Boycott the trades, and their items are worthless. Anybody with me?
I was able to get through the quest once, with a LOT of help from MANY friends. I only hope I didn't inadvertantly help someone's mule along their quest for spares...

I have 10 complete sets for trade, here's the link.

I was thinking the same thing. However, I truly wish there was a way that VMK could make the items buyable exclusively to those players that fought through pirates (or at least attempted to for hours or even days on end) and weren't able to finish the quest. I just don't want some Joe Schmo who sat back and ignored the quest to have the opportunity to just buy everything everyone else worked for. I think people should get the prizes just for trying this quest.

I tried for 60 hours and couldn't complete the quest :sad1: :sad1:

Besides the minnie, because that would ruin VMK's economy.

And the beta items, to preserve VMK's beta furnish.
Yeah, if they release a "rare" item it will make the people who have that item unhappy.

That makes no sense, the silver ears are more rare now than the minnie hat.

Perhaps those players who have more than 1 set could give an items to everyone who helped them will the gazillion sets they have. I said on another thread about how people will ask for a ton for these items and that's why the quest shouldn't have been as hard as it was. It's rediculous and very selfish of players who are doing this.

Thanks Mims for putting this up! I'm upset to see people (some even on my friends list) trying to trade these items for Stitch, full Sparrow, etc.

Neither my son nor I were able to complete the quest. I was busy helping others pass. Two people offered to give me the silver ears. I asked them to find a kid who couldn't pass the quest & please give them to the child.

I won't be on VMK for a while...thank you again for posting this!

Nice idea. Where do i apply for the trust fund?

Thats very nice Eaglesgirl. I am with you. Helped others but treasureless myself. And yup, feeling pretty burned out as well.

Mims, while I understand the sentiment behind your idea, I don't see much point to it. The demand for these items and the unreasonable tasks VMK created for the quest are really two separate issues.

Judging whether these items were acquired with mules or not is tricky, as is trying to qualify what players should do with them. We had the same situation with the Dream ears during Dreams month. Many chose to gift their extras to other players, because they felt the ears should be used in the same spirit with which they had been given. That was a generous act, just as any other gift is a generous act.

But the Dream ears, just like the Blackheart quest items, mean nothing in themselves. Or more accurately, they mean different things to different people. If there's a demand for them because they are rare, I can't see what's unfair about players trading them for something else they want. I think once the excitement has died down, people's heads will be a little clearer as to what they are willing to offer for them.

I would love for these and everything else in VMK to be buyable, personally. And yes, I own one very hard-earned set of Blackheart quest items. But I doubt that VMK is going to change the "rare" aspect of the game.

If it's any comfort, those who opted not to waste their time on this quest and instead spent the weekend buying Ned's specials are in a very good trading position right now, since all of the good stuff folks were going to spend their TDM credits on is gone.

I'm not at all happy with the way VMK set up Blackheart's quest, but the best way to protest is by writing to them directly. It doesn't make sense to hold those who won responsible for righting the wrong.

I dont think these things should be tradeable. None of it. And I sure dont think it should be sold after all this hard work. I wont even trade the items I get with treasure magic as I mentioned in another thread. Im gonna throw it in my kiosk or just give it to ppl. Ive been very lucky to have such great friends help out, I sure could not have done it alone so why not share the magic.

yes!
I want a 5* lightning, I must admit, but I would be happy to buy them

I would be much happier spending all my credits for lightning magic than having to trade for it. I'm getting dangerously close to depression.

My computer was broken during the quests, can someone explain to me exactly HOW impossible the tasks were? They sound terrifying.

Too late... just traded 3 mansion pins for the lightning magic :lmao:

The reason: It isn't sellable so I dont think it will be released.

just for the record BLING MAGIC was not sellable and look t it now

I would be happy with everything availible to the VMK public who did not finish the quests, except for the silver ears, and the yellow travel box! (Then ppl could have something still rare from the quest)

However they should retire some items for a while, like minnie.

No, they should retire sorcerer hats, buried in treasure magic, tiki fountains, pirate hats, and about everything they sold for months the past year. They should be bringing back out the items that have not been sold on VMK for awhile, like sold during the first year of the game.

Where do we draw the line? Does anyone think the way you got blue stitch was fair to others( You had to book a trip to disneyland) or pirate q ( You have to buy two pins with cards for $14.95)? So using this line of reasoning we should boycott all items not sold sometime in game I guess.

I am agree with you. Please VMK, put items on sale (except for the silver ears and the yellow travel box). I was not able to finish the quest and my dream is to have a Minnie Princess Hat. princess:

No. Make every single item BUYABLE!!!!

This is just another slap in the face to me. Thanks a lot.

I put in so many hours of yelling, screaming and crying to finish this quest.
My father thinks I went crazy this weekend.

Now you suggest to make them buyable? Then my time and everyone else's who completed this quest will have been a complete waste.
Not to mention that I lost actual real money just so I could complete this nightmare of a quest.

Thanks a lot.

They already released enough..
How about new items instead?
