Boycott trades of Blackheart's Quest items!

People see your point, but you missed it.

With us, noone used us to win and we used noone to win. We used ourselves. And in the middle, helped others, our group stayed pretty much together the whole weekend. And from what I say, most groups were the same way. Whether they were using mules or not.

I never pointed fingers.

This really is my last post. LOL I just had to say hi to my buddy, Tigger!

Not even close, buddy.;)

I think the times people were reporting had to do with the quest "clock" that kept running even when VMK was closed. They started on Saturday and by Monday, their hours spent slaving over this quest, along with the hours when VMK was closed and they were stressing over it anyway, equal the huge amount of hours shown on their quest times.

As far as the Red Sox analogy goes, here's the difference:

Those teams play and win, really win, even if they don't end up with the championship. The champions get more, true, but all those who worked throughout the season have something to show for it.

In this case, those of us who came up short (thanks to the shutting down of the quest early) have NOTHING to show for it (or at least, nothing positive) and were treated by petulant children by Yavn when we expressed our frustration at the change of time.

Closing the quest to players who had not already begun in this case would have worked, because the mules could have been blindsided but not the players already in the thick of things.

So, all things said, it is over, and some people's greed is on display again, but that is nothing new.

The saving grace would be that VMK learned from the experience and put that knowledge to good use, including many of the points you outlined above.

Alas, thanks to the Yavn statement, we know we will get more of the same, or worse, in the months to come.

Yeah, Another person posted this also and I assumed it was understood but I guess you cannot assume anything. My character was over 60 hours myself, but I was directing more towards others that said they where physically playing 70-80 hours. Oh well, I won't assume anything anymore LOL

I don't think anyone said they physically played that long. I certainly didn't. I assumed that people were using the times stated by the quest window. But, thanks to being so wound up after playing, it took hours just to wind down to go to bed. I had about 4 hours of sleep each night. And monday at work I spent half my time wondering about my next strategy.

I'm assuming your question is directing towards me, so I'll answer.
You need to WIN pirates with 575 points. That isn't possible to do without all of the other players losing. Each mule you ran through used the rest of that team to pass pirates. How is that fair to me, assuming I may have been on that particular team, when I am presumably there to help first-time questers through that task? Do you see my point now? I'm not saying in any way that one of your mules was one that I helped through, it's a generalization. You are one of thousands of players. How many others used mules? We will never know. How many mules did I help get through? I will never know.

I will comment to this bc all the ppl I was playing with knew this was my mule.. In fact all the ppl on my mules list know that its really me so no hurt feelings to my knowledge.. I mean me personally I wouldn't except anyone to have to help me twice specially without knowing, it was too hard..

Just for the record I think my time was way way down at the bottom.. :rotfl:
