My 2.5 year old eldest DS is Disney princess crazy! It started with A&E, now he absolutely loves Ariel, Jasmine, Belle and is downright obsessed with Aurora! We are bringing the two boys late June/early July 2015 when they will be 3.5 and 1.5. Have any mothers with boys brought them to Akershus or CRT, not for a sister or female family member but for your son? My SIL said I am wanting to do a princess meal for myself and has me second guessing myself but DS is genuinely a fan. He calls his friend Emma a princess cause shes "so pretty like Aurora" and talks about how he can't wait to give Jasmine a kiss and hug, hes a pure charmer :cool2:

I've never done a princess meal, but can tell you that my 5 year old DS loves the princess meet and greets. There aren't as many boys, so the princesses really fawn all over him, and he eats it up. They also will give lots of kisses and leave their lipstick kiss marks all over his face, which he loves! He is always asking me to take pics of the kiss marks! (We don't have any girls, so the princess M&G is solely for DS's benefit)

I totally think you should take them!! Who cares if they are boys and like princesses. If my boy wanted to go I would take him. We had a CRT reservation first time we went (my son was 6 and my daughter 11) but we ended up cancelling it cause no one wanted to eat anything on the menu haha.

I say go and enjoy!!!

I've TRIED to get an ADR for Akerhus for our DS (he'll be 2.5 when we go next month) and I was so disappointed when I couldn't. I did get one for Tusker House at least. I'm going to try to get a FP+ for meeting Elsa and Anna. He loves that movie (staying off property and I forgot to order the tickets until this week, so there might be no FP+ left by the time they get here next week :sad1:). So no, it doesn't have to be for you.

One idea I've heard, and if I have the time am planning on doing, is making iron-ons for his shirt. The shirt I planned for if we got to go to princess meal was using the "Princess Protection Agency" images that are out on the web that people have designed. If I can get a FP for Elsa and Anna, I'll have him wear the shirt that day.

I do plan on making a "First Trip" iron on style "stamp" to put on his t-shirts.

My youngest DS and I had lunch at CRT when he was just barely 4. He had an absolute ball meeting the princesses. He totally fell for Aurora and we ended up doing many meet n greets with her that year. It was a lot of fun while it lasted. As a mom of only boys I was happy to get my princess fix :thumbsup2

A lot of moms of boys drag them to princess meals for themselves and the boys always seem to have a good time. I see no reason why a princess loving boy shouldn't get to go just cause he's a boy.

Thanks for replying everyone :goodvibes I mentioned the idea of CRT to DH, he can see that DS would be ecstatic to do that though the prices have him slightly discouraged but I can work with that :thumbsup2 How hard will it be to get an ADR for CRT breakfast or lunch next June? Its 294 days from now (whos counting ;)) so only 114 days from now which means I#ll be booking them Christmas week (wow, where did this year disappear to!!!) I'd like to have my "wish list" for ADRs and FP+ ready to go by then!

We had lunch at CRT for. DD birthday. Princesses were great. Turns out it was also my husbands favorite meal of the trip bog for it. He will get a sword and wishing star. Have fun!!

I took my son to CRT for his 5th birthday. That's where I learned that he's terrified of face characters.

Every time a princess came over, he hid under the table. Ariel commented that he "clammed up" and Snow White compared him to Bashful. Jasmine actually got on the floor and tickled him under the table until he climbed out.

My boys aren't such huge fans of princesses but they will I am sure be dragged to a princess meal next year ;) I did watch when we went to both and the princesses definitely give the boys equal attention and the boys do seem to enjoy it ;)
