Correct.
I'm bringing GBP (aka Pounds Sterling, United Kingdom Pounds, Greater Britain Pounds). GBP are good in England, Scotland, Gibraltar, etc.
The Gibraltar Pound (GIP) is good only in Gibraltar. It is not accepted anywhere else.
When we are in Gibraltar, try not to get Gibraltar Pounds as change. If you do, spend it before leaving.

OMgoodness!
So technically I could use up to 5 different currencies (except 3 are actually the same thing going by different names!) on this cruise? Really? Are you kidding me? Seriously nuts! printing this, and then handing it to the DH! I am DONE thinking about it! ack! Only problem is, he is usually much more content NOT to know what the heck I have planned to spend until after the fact when the bill comes in. Thinking about all that money up front makes him a crazy man.
Maybe I should just pay the exorbitant exhange rates and not worry about it!

No, really THANK YOU for the clarification, all the abbreviating had me confused. Got it now, GBP and GIP and good ol' dollars, well, don't actually HAVE any of it yet. . is this starting to be a circle kind of discussion?
(uum, not stopping in Canada are we? Those loonies use some other dollar right!
)So one last question, No Euros in the UK?
only GBP? My world traveler son is not home right now or he would be ROTFL at me I know.
