---ACTIVE DUTY includes RESERVES as well (since duty is still *active*). I am not sure about retired. The Military Discount is offered to EVERYONE sailing in the same stateroom.

Reserves qualify if they were activated within the calendar year prior to sailing. Retired are treated just the same as active duty.

A military member can reserve up to three staterooms. The military member has to be sailing with the rest of the party.

Special Military rates are available to all retired and active U.S. Military personnel, including U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, U.S Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. National Guard, U.S. Army Reserve and U.S. Department of Defense personnel. Active and retired members of the U.S. military must provide valid identification at time of check-in. This offer is limited to a maximum of 3 staterooms per military member, per sailing. A U.S. Military service member is required to sail to take advantage of this offer. Activated members of the U.S. National Guard or the U.S. Army Reserve must also show active duty orders (active duty papers must be dated as of January 1st of the previous year to qualify).

After several HOURS of phone calls. Telling some small fibs (I worked for a bank, my dad is a lawyer (sorry God)) and all your prayers etc... I am all set!! Expedia will refund the whole amount to our credit card no fees or penalties w/in the next 10days. I am soo relieved I could cry!! I think I have sat here staring at my computer for the past two days in total shock!! Thank You all so much for your prayers, warm wishes and fuzzies. NEVER underestimate the power of prayer and positive energy!!

Thank goodness!! I was wondering what had happened. So are your flights rebooked? Did you have to start over? who are you flying with? We are also heading back to Boston. We're heading back on Aer Lingus with a two day pub stop in Dublin!! Glad you were able to get the money back fairly quickly!!

Thanks for the military info. I have a friend whose dh is reserve Marine and they want to go on the Dream with us. Her very good friend's husband just left for active duty for a year (engineer) and she thinks they'd love to also join, so I wanted to give her some info.

Glad things worked out for you Missy.

I had a similar panic when I couldn't find my passport the day before I was to fly to London on Friday for my (retirement) TransAtlantic. Friends, family, and even my x-husband got me thru replacing it on Monday, getting a flight to Dublin, and rejoining my friends Tuesday.

This cruise will mean even more to you after what you've accomplished to make it happen.

38 days ......I am existing in pre-cruise mode.... (sneaking on disboards at work, randomly checking my reservation, shopping for cruisewear, making FEs, etc etc etc...) What will I do after the cruise? Oh yea booking the DREAM!

I know we have posted on some of the same threads but was not sure which cruise we did together. Holloween 2002 we cruised with our friends Estelle and Phil. I bet that was it. I have been trying to remember. It will be nice to see you again and the baby!

Oh Thank Goodness! So glad to hear this got straightened out. Glad you could call on your banking and daughter of lawyer skills when needed!

My sister, who grew up in the mid-west then lived and worked in NY and now is here in Phoenix, calls on the appropriate 'mode' when making calls on behalf of her boss. He tells her "this one requires Mid-west friendlyness" or "you'll need your NY take no prisoners tone with this guy".



Loved seeing the newest picture of the Dream...now she looks like a real ship with her 'skin' on. (just couldn't get excited when she was just a mess of steel girders)
