I'm in charge of planning our days in Seville, Barcelona and CC

Does anyone know where I can get in depth information on Castaway Cay? I would like to print out a map before the cruise.

Sorry to cause such an upraor but there are 95 adults and not 95 cabins. Are we still giving to everyone in the cabins? If so does each adult get something?

I think we should all learn Lynne's new Mickey song and make it our theme group song.
---ACTIVE DUTY includes RESERVES as well (since duty is still *active*). I am not sure about retired. The Military Discount is offered to EVERYONE sailing in the same stateroom
I know for sure that it applies to retired because friends of mine sailed last year on a military rate (first time he has sailed on a ship since he got out of the military many, many years ago) And the funny part about that is that she (his wife) could never convince to sail until after my husband and I sailed on it and raved about it. They booked the dream cruise while still on board so I am guessing they liked it.

The rules are probably the same with military rates for cruises as they are for the Shades of Green hotel on Disney property. Active, reserved and retired military can stay there. If you served your time and got out (but did not retire) or were dishonarably discharged you are not elidgable. (There are a few exceptions)

After several HOURS of phone calls. Telling some small fibs :rolleyes1 (I worked for a bank, my dad is a lawyer (sorry God)) and all your prayers etc... I am all set!! Expedia will refund the whole amount to our credit card no fees or penalties w/in the next 10days. I am soo relieved I could cry!! I think I have sat here staring at my computer for the past two days in total shock!! Thank You all so much for your prayers, warm wishes and fuzzies. NEVER underestimate the power of prayer and positive energy!! :grouphug:
Thanx sooo MUCH GUYS!!
My station will now resume normal cruise programming!!
:surfweb:

:cool1::yay::dance3::cheer2: Any more excitement I can send your way? I am so glad that everything worked out. I booked my online directly with Expedia so I hope everything works out for us.

38 days ......I am existing in pre-cruise mode.... (sneaking on disboards at work, randomly checking my reservation, shopping for cruisewear, making FEs, etc etc etc...) What will I do after the cruise? Oh yea booking the DREAM! :)

Don't worry. You are not alone. I am doing the same thing. I am home sick today with a cold:sick: and what am I doing? Checking the disboards and trying to figure out what we need for the cruise and maybe start packing :)

Ack! Just realized that I haven't booked a shuttle to CI&S on the 9th!

-Thanks for the info on using 2 credit cards for 2 diff people. My mom was asking the other day. Also, if I am going to give her OBC as an early b-day gift, should I wait until she's officially checked in rather than calling it in now and putting the credit on the room?!!

No problem it was new to me on the last cruise but they have it worked out great!

So my only warning about traveler's checks in that we had a hard time using them in Italy. We even went to restaurants that had the American Express Traveler's check symbol on the door and couldn't get them to take them!!!

We eventually found an American Express storefront and had them cash them. So annoying. Will never buy Euro Amex traveler's checks again. Of course this was Italy, and it was not the only travel drama we ran into over there (enough that we won't go back unless we are with a packaged tour). We've traveled to lots of other places in Europe and never had any travel drama, so maybe other countries wouldn't even blink at them, but it was such a bad experience we won't buy them again.

I have a lot of travel anxiety, and am worried about not finding an ATM that will take our card, but my hubby says it shouldn't be a problem. Since he's the one that usually handles tipping, etc I guess it's his problem. We have some Euros left over from our last trip, so that will have to do.

We had travel nightmares in Italy too - and I decided that my family left Italy for a reason so maybe I should not go back :)

We have the following for Mexican Train Dominoes:

Woody73 - Woody & Mrs. Woody
Michelle2 - Michelle & Jared
KrisannB - Krisann & Ashley
Happy Goofy - Charlotte & John
ayntlynne - Lynne & Karen
goofprincess - Sandy & Tony

Anyone else?

For starters, let's play on Game Days (sea days, 1:00pm, Diversions, deck 3 forward). See post #24 on page 2.

From there we can add other days and times to accommodate Bunco players and the level of interest.

Krisann - would you please bring the game to the first Game Day? Thanks.

Woody

no prob

You can do ONE per cabin or one per person (or any combination there of) - the choice is yours.

I'm right there with you. One of my spare bedrooms has become cruise central I just keep finding stuff I want to take and putting it on the bed in there so I don't forget it. All my dresses are hanging in the doorway of the room and everytime I'm out shopping I'm thinking of cruise things I want or need.

Just don't tell my boss about the disboards at work thing ;)

I'd love to get some lanyards for our trip - who should I tell? I think we'd like to have Donald on them. Me - Melissa. DH - Trevor. DS - Jax (21months).

Also, my DH is celebrating his 32nd birthday while on board. Would anyone be interested in doing a card shower for him? He'll be so surprised! I've got a banner and magnet for the door made up, but he'd love to come 'home' to cards from everyone. Currently, our room number is 6571 (Hoping for some pixie dust!).

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

We just booked this cruise last week and will be joining you all. We're very excited since this will be our first disney cruise and also the first cruise with the kids. I'm finding this site very informative but there's just too much info. I don't think I can get through it all. Even with this thread, there's just too many pages so I find myself skipping here and there. I have one major concern and was wondering if you can give me your input. My two boys are age 6 and 10 and I'm concerned they will get bored. They're very active kids and I'm just a bit concerned with all the sea days. To those who have kids, do your kids complain about being bored and wanting to go home? I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they will really enjoy it. Also, does anyone have any idea how many children will be on this sailing. I asked my travel agent and she said not much. Does that mean the activities in the kids clubs will be canceled due to lack of enrollment?

Welcome Pooh!
I am fairly new to this also. Do NOT try to digest allllll this info at once (I'm pretty sure you'd burst) I find the search at the top of the page VERY useful if I'm looking for something in particular. Also just posting here always generates a myriad of helpful replys very quick. I think by "not many" your TA meant the programs would not be overcrowded. My boys are 1, 4, 11 and 14 all very active and I have no worries....Disney handles children better than they do anything. Reading the first few pages of the post helps get you accquainted.....Enjoy! :woohoo:

I'd be happy to do a card for your DH :) Put your name on the Master Spreadsheet (1st link in my signature) and add the BDay Cards comment :)

"Not much" in Disney terms is ~300-400 :rotfl: No worries, they won't cancel the kids' activities, it's too important for everyone's peace of mind, especially on such a long cruise :thumbsup2

Hi Mshart! Welcome! Everyone in your party will receive lanyards, unless you don't want them. AuntieLynne is handling the nametags, and I am sure she will see this post.

A card shower is a really sweet idea. I would be happy to participate. Which day of the cruise is his birthday?

Welcome!

I can't imagine they would cancel the childrens program, the only reason I agreed to a Disney cruise is so my children with have something to do and I would also have some down time.
I will also be traveling with two active children, I'm not worried about the 5 year old DS just the 23 month old DD.

Welcome Poohbear!
I also have a 10 year old son... this will be his 8th Disney Cruise & never, ever have I heard "I'm bored" from him!!! There is so much to do... they will have a blast!!!

we were on a 15 night cruise and my kids would still be on board if I let them - and disney has so many activities for them! On our 15 night we had around 300 kids and not a single activity was cancelled that I know of and that was a "low number" of kids. My kids had a blast!
