I am organizing a FE Group #3 === Limited to 10 cabins. This group will close March 31st or sooner if the group fills. One gift per cabin is what I think makes sense. Since we are starting so late, I didn't want a larger group.

I don't read the boards as much as my e-mail so please use the PM / e-mail option to let me know you want in.

Count us in, I e-mailed info

I'm up for an Illuminations Cruise but the chances of securing one at this point are slim to none. However, we can check on the main boards (do they still have the Illuminations Sharing thread?) We're arriving Fri late afternoon and staying at BCV.

Or we can add a sheet to our spreadsheets on Google Docs. Would you like me to do it?

Yes, Dee, please add the appropriate spreadsheet for FE 3:surfweb:
And I'll look into the cruise chances later today.

Is anyone on the 9:20 British Airways flight to London on the 24th? I am trying to decide if I ditch the Disney transfers and get off the boat at 6:30 for the 9:20 flight. I am just not sure about the customs and being able to get off. DCL says they have not set a disembarkation time yet.

We are on this flight

I called DCL three times. The first person said that we would be able to have the luggage cleared through customs at night and maybe get off early. The second guy said flat out not to have a flight before noon and that there was no way we could be sure to get off before 8AM. The third said it had to be after 12:30. I am not sure if this is just the party line or not.

Has anyone successfully gotten off before the recommended times? How far in advance? I don't want to make it a stressful time after a TWO WEEKS cruising! (can't wait!), but I also want to be able to get as much time as I can in London before the flight in the morning back to the States.

Wishes fireworks at 10 PM - Extra Magic Hours until 2 AM - are you going to stay up all night at the Magic Kingdom and then try to catch up on sleep on the cruise? :rotfl:

We aren't staying on property, so no EMH for me. But I will be standing on Main Street giddy and exhausted waiting for Wishes at 9:55! I am over the moon excited. I can't imagine sleeping Thursday night. It anyone is looking for me on Sunday, I will be snoozing at Serenity Bay!

That's fine by me as long as I know who to turn the ballots to. Also, we can add a sheet on the All-Important Master Locator and Cougar Finder Spreadsheet for people who would like their doors judged.

I agree 1 category win per person only. Ummm...nothing personal, Stephanie

Or we can add a sheet to our spreadsheets on Google Docs. Would you like me to do it?

Just a thought.....In the spirit of keeping it all in the same place...how about we put up another spreadsheet on the google site for those who want their DOOR judged ...then they can sign up. Then we can add that on page 1 info for thise who miss the post :thumbsup2

I am going to put my door up for consideration however being a door decoration newbie.... I definitely feel out ranked by the pros:goodvibes

Go for it Dee! I agree with Joi that adding the staterooms to the Master Spreadsheet makes good sense.

I am happy to make the ballot as Woody and Dee suggest. All the stateroom numbers will be listed and the voter can write them in for each category to cast their vote.

I will collect the ballots too! I will have a clip magnet on my door with a little sign. If those heading up events would be willing to collect ballots and drop them off with me, that would be helpful, but not vital.

I will create a ballot this weekend (with dummy text until everyone can add their stateroom to Dee's list in Google docs) and post it on google for opinions.

Cool?

In 2007, the Art of Entertaining Series was presented at 10:00 am every sea day, including the following topics in the morning sessions:

Westphalian .. Pancakes
Classic Vichyssoise
Potato Gnocchi
Wild Mushroom Risotto

They held 2 afternoon sessions - not repeats of the morning - one towel folding, the other some art thing (I can't read the fine print on the website - I know, I put it there, but I still can't read anything but the letters in bold print).

Towel folding was also offered as a family activity at a different time.

10:00 am was the earliest time activities are listed on the Navigator, other than AA meetings, Morning Walk and Ocean Quest Open House (it appears several times - I guess that's when they let the adults in).

My point - just an FYI - in case all you knitters were also secret Top Chefs. And this is 2007 info.

Lynne
Are we supposed to nap in the afternoon or go to the movies? Either sounds fine to me.:yay:
As I said before , I'd like to do the Morning Walk but if is interfering with DIS activities maybe 9AM would be better for that. Or, an Afternoon Walk since it sounds like there are less scheduled things going on. I don't know how it effects a person changing the clock every night. Does anyone know which would be better? Anyone interested in walking at a time other than 9:30AM if DCL is still scheduling Morning Walk at that time?

I just remembered that Ponz was doing Origami on the Jan30 cruise. Hopefully he will being doing it again TA. I didn't try to make these sessions because I thought I'd do them on the TA. He did say he would be on the TA.

Jennifer and Leslie did a Scrapbooking Workshop but it wasn't very detailed, just some suggestions on how to organize or get started.

Since I haven't heard and objections, Lynne would you please add the Awards/SM lunch with our schedule for 12:00 on the 22nd?

Do you think Parrot Cay would be an easier location to get group seating than Topsiders? That's how I am leaning.

I was thinking the same thing Joi it will be my first time decorating my door and sounds like I'll have an empty door compared to some people.

I called DCL three times. The first person said that we would be able to have the luggage cleared through customs at night and maybe get off early. My air was booked through DCL and my flight leaves at 10am so I would imagine there will be a way for those of us that need to get off earlier to do it. I wouldn't stress too much about it if I was you only because DCL scheduled even earlier flights than what they say to do.

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::dance3: :dance3: :dance3::dance3:

Docs came in by USPS today!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks again for setting up the spreadsheet!

What is the "favorites" tab for?!?!!? Is that for Secret Mickey, FE, anything?!?!? THANKS!

Are we still having a meet at Country Inn and Suites at 6:00?

And I hear Kelsey's is a great place to get pizza, if you want to bring your dinner poolside. http://www.kelseyscanaveral.com/

I'm also a fan of Publix's fried chicken!

We'll be there at some point. Flights don't get in till after four, have to get the rental car, haven't made decisions about food, etc. If for some reason it's late and you are all gone, look for us at breakfast! I'll most likely be wearing lime green on embarkation day. ::yes::

Not sure how many open houses OQ may have this time - in 2007 it was still an "extra" place for tweens (10-14) to go to but was not an actual club. Now it is a an actual club so it is open for the kids all day - where as before it was just open at certain times - mostly in the evenings. My son would sleep in OQ if he was allowed - I know the WBPC was the first cruise we were on that it was a club and he was at the bottom age and now he will be 13 and he wishes he can spend more years there - these next two cruises will be his last chances on the magic - but he will still be 13 when we do the B2B dream cruises in March so he is excited!

Where can I find a FE? Do not have talent to be creative and make one and can't sew

We have used disney gift bags before - they work great and were a no sew/crafting way to do them!

Our favorite head server is on vacation right now and getting back on the ship when we arrive in Barcelona. Very sad we won't be cruising with him, but we are trying to arrange a meet-up in Barcelona...even if it's only for a hug :grouphug: and a "HI!".

.

Are you talking about Simone? He is just the most incredible person, we think he's great and I was so worried he wouldn't be back for the first MED when he got stuck onboard the Magic a little longer.

I sure hope you get to see him in Barcelona. If not, we will be sure to hug him for you on the MED :)

So excited for you, nothing like that first Magic Kingdom trip!

Yeah, my gang will be there.

And I hear Kelsey's is a great place to get pizza, if you want to bring your dinner poolside. http://www.kelseyscanaveral.com/

My kids like Kelsey's.
Thinking me and dh will have to go out somewhere with the inlaws for dinner.

I added the FE Group 3 and Door Contest pages to the All Important Google Spreadsheet and Cougar Locator :thumbsup2

Magnets, are a problem for me. We love them, too many of them. My daughters said this time they get to be in charge so I don't go overboard (hopefully they don't mean literally).

Problem has been made worse by other DIS member mentioning Xyron machine and magnet cartridges. It just makes it all too easy to roll out those magnets. Way too easy.........

Oh yes....I am working on my third roll since yesterday!!! I have been rolling away!!! :rotfl:

Thanks Heather for the info on the favorites tab!

I was hoping that is what it was for!

Ok, so everyone please fill it out...it will help to just add a little more info when it comes to Secret Mickey! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

THANKS!!!!

Ugh I know and Michaels is certainly enabling with always having coupons and last week Xyron was all 40 percent off. At least I live very far away.

On a positive note, I just realized I can decorate inlaws door too. That way I can spread out the magnets over 3 doors and not look too crazy.
