Looking over Lynne's schedule - I am reminded that I am sad there is no longer a Pub Master - that was great fun on the WB PC 2008 cruise.

I was out in the barn tonight giving some animals their shots and I pulled a muscle in my leg. I almost had to crawl back to the house. I hope it gets better before we go on shore excursions.

:headache: I hope you feel better soon! I hurt my back at the gym a few weeks ago using the weight machines. I'm sticking to the treadmill for now, not taking any more chances before this cruise!
 
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what the temperatures will be during the 6 days at sea? I would really like to leave the heavy coat behind if possible.

I won't be carrying a heavy jacket but hope to bring a breathable waterproof jacket and layer if required. We're hoping for good weather!

I did ask her that-- she had no idea! She said she found 2 old hooks she had from years ago & is just using them! Maybe ask at a JoAnn's Fabric (or that type of place) what size they would suggest for a baby blanket!
 
Yay- cruise documents made their way to Long Island today! My mom hasn't gotten hers yet, but usually she has to wait a day after everyone else, so hopefully hers will show up tomorrow.

I'm SO EXCITED about this cruise!

Good idea with the whiteboards.

How will it work? Say someone leaves behind an iPhone at bunco, and I find it. Do I post the Lost & Found just on my floor, or on all six boards? If I post on just one board, does the iPhone owner have to check all six boards.

Perhaps we could designate one board as the Master DIS Board for key messages. ("Two spaces available on early van to airport.")

General messages could go on all boards ("Award Lunch today at noon").

I have several new (still in plastic) DCL Dry Erase Boards-- We can use one as the "official news board" somewhere if you'd all like!

I have put a Cruise Docs page on the website in case anyone who hasn't received theirs is curious what all this hullabaloo is about (and would like to see the actual docs - most of the pages, anyway). Each page is 5x8 inches. (12.7 x 20.32 cm)

I want facts that I can use - such as how many formal/semi-formal nights, what's showing in the theater, are we having fireworks in Barcelona (and if so, when, so we can plan a trip to the Magic Fountain).

Otherwise, it is just further verification that Disney knows I'm sailing.

It did let me know that we have the current info of port times.

Thanks Lynne :thumbsup2 I'm going to opt not to peek for now though, I really want my actual docs in hand to look through. Of course, if they don't come in the next day or two you know I'm going to have to peek ;)

IMHO..I am thinking that may be a point... it may be best just to have one central... (middle floor, middle room # ) DIS dry erase board on one door vs one on each floor... to keep it simple... :confused3

I got an A in philosophy! :banana: I was worried this class was gonna mess with my GPA .... PHEW.... I am skipping next semester... too busy.... cruising :rolleyes1
 
---Sounds good to me. Did you want to piggy-back this on top of the Book Exchange (9:30AM), Knitting (10:00AM), Game Day (1:00PM), or other DISer event? It might be easier to schedule that way, as I am sure everyone's social calendar is filling up fast! You know how fast those Cougars move!

Can I suggest that we bundle the Award Lunch with the Secret Mickey Reveal? Could we make this lunch of the 22nd and then follow up with the group photo at a set time for those who don't attend the lunch?

I think that is a great idea! Let's just plan on the last sea day on April 22nd. On the last cruise I was on where we did a Secret Mickey, we had it in the promenade lounge, the one way up at the front of the ship---not Diversions, the other one.
Time and place is still to be decided.

When you say "last sea day" are you talking about the last of the six in a row - or the last one of all, the day before we hit Barcelona?

The very last sea day on the 22nd. It sounds like everyone is leaning that way...feel free everyone to give your thoughts on it.
 
No docs yet. I'll be nervous until mine arrive. I have a PO Box because I've had trouble with home delivery mail. But Disney insisted on using street address. Hope they get here tomorrow.

For those still looking to book flights, friends have used Best Travel Store (bt-store.com) in the past and have found some good pricing.Make sure to leave ample time for connections--especially if changing airlines.
 
I don't like to be announced at all. Even when I travel with my family. I guess I just don't like to stand out for any reason. :sad2:

My daughter joined me for the second half of my B2B this past Sept. I sat watching and waiting for her to be announced, it was her first cruise :goodvibes Well, she avoided the whole introduction and just walked on past them :rolleyes:I was hoping to get a pic of her :sad2: I might try the same thing this cruise :rolleyes1
 
My 12 DD got her own set of documents!?!? Mine came to the PO box and her's came to the house.

--I was thinking the whiteboards would be for changes or updates (refer to Mini-Navigator for activities). When someone hears of a change - they can note it on their respective (floor) stateroom door. So, if Woody's stateroom is on deck 2 ... is playing Bunco in Diversions ... and knows the next session of Bunco will be played in Sessions ... he can make a note of it on the deck 2 whiteboard. Anyone else aware of the change can make the changes on their respective floor as well, when known (though this does not guarantee 100% immediate notification). I was also thinking that other DISers might want to pass their respective floor-door once per day or night, "just in case" ... as this would be a good place to note any vacancies (Group Palo Brunch, excursion van, shuttle to airport, etc). What has worked (or not worked) on past cruises?

--Bring 'em along - we can probably hand them out on Embarkation Day, Promenade Lounge, 3:00 - 3:45pm. We can draft volunteers at the time, if needed.

No docs in our town in Northern Mass. Of course if they come USPS, then I might not get them as our mail carrier constantly misdelivers our mail, forgets to hold our mail, gives us other people's mail, etc. :confused3 So it might be a week.

If they are coming UPS or Fedex, I have faith they would arrive. They love our house, we must average more than a package a day (love Amazon).
