Are you planning on doing laundry after a week maybe? Or does your wife do the laundry?

That's my problem weight wise I think. I do not want to re-wear things to much and I definitely do not want to do laundry on my only 2 weeks off from it when I generally do 7-10 loads QUOTE]

You look at it the wrong way. I am a single dad and get stuck foing all the laundry. At home it is just work. On the cruise you just do it with friends and have fun.

42 pounds for my main one. :thumbsup2 I'm carrying another medium size almost empty for "stuff" to bring home.

that's my current plan. One carry on with stuff for our one night at hotel and one nearly empty carry on to bring stuff home in or distribute weight around:confused3 Was going to take my garment bag and then stuff all of that in the rolling duffels on way home but it weighs 5 lbs empty too! sheesh. who knew?

We only have one checked bag allowed on return trip and then one carry on. $50 bucks for both legs of return flight would mean $100 for just one extra bag:scared1: I can dump a lot of stuff before I pay $100 to bring it back or have the privelge of taking it.

I'm hoping for 30 lbs each rolling duffle when I am done. Add in duffles themsleves (10lbs and 5lbs respectively) and it is still feeling really close IF I want to bring anything home from Spain but a postcard!

My DH made me laugh tonight though as I was sharing my packing/weight woes with him, he wondered if this meant he would be wearing multiple layers of clothing home on his person:rotfl:

Okay Mike & Nick, that's two total for laundry right? While I guess it's true we will be just two total for this cruise my main job in life is laundry, cooking, dishes and cleaning soooo no real vacation includes any of the above for me! Yeah, I'm spoiled that I get to do that and stay home with my kids too and not bring in an income right now but I sometimes think I save so much money by doing things myself I earn enough to take fabulous cruises! :rotfl: Now DH? Honestly? Never done one single load of laundry in his life, came close one time (extended hospital stay for me) but escaped at last minute as he was on the phone with me asking how to turn the washing machine on and another "more important" crisis came up! We still laugh about it.

Oh! just because it is fun to cause people to think about my Mt. Laundry I must climb to the peek of each week I like to throw out this one small fact. Anyone care to think about what 49 pairs of underclothes and as many pairs of socks look like in a weeks time?

things that need to go on the list of "in danger of being forgotten last minute"

refrigerated meds
jackets
passports
cell phone/camera chargers

perhaps I can keep posting this all week and remember them!:)

I'll still be around I don't leave my house until Thursday evening to drive to Sacramento so I can fly the next day. I've been lurking when I can today but had to work and my grandma is visiting for Easter. I hope everyone had a great day :cloud9:

I can't believe it's really almost time for our trip. I'm doing a fashion show for grandma tomorrow to show off all my dresses and then I'll be packing so far it will be one big checked suitcase and for the second one I don't know if it will be a checked one or a carry on. :cool1:

We're around until Thursday morning. :surfweb: That 's when I pack my laptop into the closet and turn my home computer off. :wizard: I may use the computer at the Rosen Center hotel to check in here (and FB) on Friday but after that I will be without a computer for 16 days! :scared1:

Some of us are really envious...a suitcase that weighs only 27 lbs....leaving for FL tomorrow...the envy is more than I can take. Guess I'll just have to stay here and communicate with whoever or whomever is left
We're not going straight to Florida. First we're meeting friends (from Florida!) in Las Vegas for four nights before heading to Orlando.

I'm sure you'll be in good company on the boards before you leave.

Woody

You are the type of person I like. You understand what it means when I say that I am a Single father of a 13 year old boy. All the house, work and trouble that comes with raising a boy.

I greatly admire every single parent out there. I can not begin to comprehend how you do it all alone. All the work at home, all the bringing in the finances work whatever it may be , all the kid raising work, all the everything! My single parent friends amaze me.

My DH may not operate a washing machine but he is an awesome parent, awesome husband and awesome employee to boot. Like I said? I'm one spoiled rooten lucky duck.

okay, laundry done, I'm going to bed!

I often get up early, so I do laundry while Mrs. Woody sleeps in.

Woody

aawww, that is soooo sweet! Lucky Mrs Woody!

My DH gets up with the kiddos so I can sleep in on Saturdays.

Isn't it great we all have our "systems worked out" even when it comes to packing. I get to say what we take, how we take it and then I get to pack it up too while DH gets to be my personal porter once it is done, now that's a good system!

Drats! I was reading posts while stuffing nametags into badge holders and I came to the end of the stories.

Woody - is Mrs Woody a Bo Beep or a Jesse?

Safe and wonderful travels, Woody.

I work straight thru Friday, so I'll be hanging on the boards up until the car door closes for the trip to the airport. Who knows, I may even check for posts while I wait to board the plane.

I say, go for part 5--but no need to bring all the initial pages over from part 4 since that's a lot of work. I have part 4 in my favorite list anyway.

None of my meds have to be refrigerated, so they're going in my carry-on as soon as I finish this post. I'm doing laundry even as we speak and will do more on board. So I'll have one checked bag and one carry-on. And I'll still probably have too much.

Got to get busy now, since I work today. Happy packing everyone.

Ugh, trying to make ADRs for my Wine and Dine trip, but the online system won't work. So now I'm waiting around for 7 am to do them over the phone.

I haven't done any more packing since last weekend, so I still have to do carry on bags and finish packing my bag, which I need to fit my two formal gowns and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff. It's not going to be pretty.

We're having a birthday party for DD today. She turns 4 on Tuesday. Tomorrow we have Easter plans, but I think we'll be back home again relatively early, so I'm hoping I can finish my packing projects then.

My euros/pounds are ready at AAA, so we need to run over there this morning too. SO MUCH left to do.

Luckily, we weather looks good for our flight on Friday, and it looks like DSis and I may have a stop at the Magic Kingdom on Friday night after the little kids go to bed. Magic Kingdom is open until 2 am!

I agree - 7 kids - do you have time to breathe?
A friend has 5 kids (blended family) - 2 18 year olds, 2 17 year olds and an almost 14 year old. But they are a good bunch of kids.

I got my tiara at Walmart.

Did he happen to mention at what time the pool actually closes??
Kiddos wanna know!!!

CPC

That's the same thing mine wanted to know, wish it was later than 6pm :)

I ask for extra hangers every cruise and always get them without a problem!!! :thumbsup2

Same here, no problems getting as many hangers as I can cram in the closet.

My laundry is literally never done. 7 kids and so many sports, I do about 25 loads (on average) a week. Two washers, two dryers. So I feel for you :) If I skip one day it's a disaster.

I'm still working on my FE's. :upsidedow

I'm about to run errands as soon as I can get morning stuff done - breakfast, shower, clothes, etc.
