Bouncebacks?

What are the bouncebacks in the rooms now? Hoping for a good % off for next year.,

So far everyone has reported it's just the Free Dining offer that's already out for everyone. Rumors are that BB will no longer be offered, as in this recent report by Kazlac4 (with thanks to kazlac for posting this and keeping us all informed):

We were at Disney the first 2 weeks of November and had, like others, received an email before our vacation to keep checking our email while at Disney for additional specials, but the only thing we did receive was the photo-pass discount offer, and also a few emails about Disney movies. While there I called the 8844 number and asked about current bouncebacks but the CM (who I must say was not the friendliest) stated that Disney "doesn't do bouncebacks anymore". I then asked if there was a pin attached to our name and he made me go through the whole process of a zillion questions regarding a future vacation, wanting dates, ages, types of rooms wanted, resort choice, etc., and then came back with a price that I knew to be a regular nondiscounted price. I let him know that he wasted my time and that he should have just said "no", no pin attached. We have never received a pin !. We are hoping to get back down in June (summer season) but if we can't obtain a discount we will probably put it off for a while. We have been wanting to check out Dollywood and the Smokey mountains so that may be an option.

I don't understand why WDW would stop such a popular program (BB), but maybe too many problems with BB bookings?

I got pretty much the same run aroundwhen I called twice during our vacation from Oct 28 to Nov 2

This past August when we were staying at the Contemporary I saw that our Housekeeper took our Bounceback offer sheet out our room and the other rooms because she was told to that since she said that offer was ending, even though it still had valid dates left in 2010 and the fact it had not expired for us since we haven't checked-out which were the rules when we could make that type of reservation. Now I took the sheet back from her cart and we were able to get a Bounceback rate starting next Thursday at the Boardwalk Inn, although it was around that time that the Bounceback offer was being replaced by basically the same Free Dining offer which anyone can reserve for 2011.

We were at the BC in mid October and the bounceback in the room was the free dining.

We arrive this weekend. I would love a bounceback since we are returning in August, and I always hate waiting for the AP rates!

I don't know why Disney would stop doing BB offers. I've booked 2 of them in the last couple years. They're great!

I'll try to remember to report back if we have something in our room this weekend. I don't want free dining--but I'll see if anything is around.

Just got back...the only offer in the room was the free dining that is open to everyone.

At POR now...there is only a BB for free dining.

BTW...the POP Warner people have arrived.............BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
