Bounceback Free Dining Program 2008. Where is everyone eating??

Melissa, what are the dates of your trip? I think we may be there at the same time again!

Just DH and I bouncingback for just 3 nights and 4 days beginning 9-11-07.
Since we are only going for a short time, we may upgrade to the deluxe plan so we can eat Signature Restaurants each night.....if so our choices would be:

Narcosee's
Yachtman's
and maybe Jiko for Dinners

and for lunch...LeCeliier, Yak & Yeti and a nice sitdown breakfast somewhere.

(we will be back in Oct '08 for 9 days without the dining plan, so thought we may go big this time)

Right now we are booked for 8 nights so I'm thinking:

Le Cellier -- old fave
Jiko -- new
Narcossees -- new
Coral Reef -- new
O'Hana -- new to Dh
50's PTC -- new to DH

We may upgrade to the Deluxe Plan though, so who knows? lol :)

I have booked POFQ for 9/27-30 before we switch over to DVC. If free dining becomes available would I be able to add it if my check in date is the last day of free dining? We have never tried the dining plan before but may consider it if this is possible.

This year we were booked before free dining came out and added it when free was offered. We did loose the AAA discount on the room but the free dining was by far worth more then the lose of the room discount. And the free dining would be good thru your stay if you book before or at the last day. At least that is the way it worked in the past, 2 years ago we went into October with free dining. For 08 we don't have to wait for it to be offered cause we booked the bounce back while there during our free dining this year.

We will be Bouncing Back :woohoo:
and staying a POFQ 9-6 thru 9-14th.

We will be trying for:

CRT (dinner)
San Angel Inn (X)
Donalds Safari Breakfast
Tony's Town Square (lunch)
SCI-FI at MGM (Dinner)
Boatwrights (breakfast)
O'Hanas (breakfast)
PLUS: Le Cellier and Yak & Yeti (dinner for both)

UPDate: Dropped San Angels Inn--added Le Cellier.
Also added Yak and Yeti. I got all of my ressies I wanted and times.
WOO HOO!!!

:hourglass Have we BB Yet???:yay:

We have bounced back from 9-11-08 to 9-14-08...just to get our reservation in, knowing we would prob. alter it. I called two days ago and asked if I Booked 9-25-08 to 10-4-08...would we be elig. for free dining for the whole trip, and the CM said NO! He told me free dining ends 9-27-08, and the whole package must be in Sept. (before or on the 27th) to get free dining. Should I call them back and see what the next CM says????

Call them back that CM doesn't know what he is talking about. You could always go into October. But maybe you are locked into the days you book during the bounce back???
We have the last full week booked in Sept. but I think we will stay with those days. We usually go that time of year anyway.

That is the exactly what I was told whenever we booked the BB offer
whenever we were at the Resort.
The Free Dining will only last from 8-30th thru 9-27th 2008.
We had to decide what week we could go in this alloted time.
Also were told that you could NOT start on the last day of free dining (9-27)
and extend the free dining for the rest of your trip.
So we booked for the beginning of 9-6 thru 9-14th and we'll just stick with it.
Now I'm wondering if others have gotten different information?

We will be bringing family who have never been to WDW. So I'm trying to think of some really good choices. So far, I'm thinking of: Ohana, BOMA, 50's Prime, Coral Reef, Cap n Jacks, Trails End, WCC and/or Spoodles. We will definitely be doing some OOP, since we really only need 6. popcorn::

Hi Rebecca.
I am sorry. I have been so busy working, getting things together for the holidays. I think, I am going to try, and make a Turducken for Thanksgiving. Wish me luck. My dates are Sept 16-25, at Pop Century.

:goodvibes

We booked the free dining bounce back too :thumbsup2 We'll be at Pop Sept 19-28th. Here's our list at this point (will more than likely change 100 times between now and when we actually arrive) :rotfl:

CRT (girls only, out of pocket)

Lunch-
Sci Fi (out of pocket)
Chef Mickeys (assuming like past years they open for lunch during free dining)

Capn Jacks
Liberty Tree Tavern (night of MNSSHP)

Biergarten
50's Prime Time
Whispering Canyon Cafe

Wow, you are ambitious trying to make Turducken. Although Paula Deen makes it look easier than I thought it would be. We are at Pop from Sept 18-27th. We'll have to try and say hi sometime during that time!

DH and I will be at POFQ 9-20 to 9-27 with the deluxe dining upgrade. We have started our proposed ADR list.......
Dinners:
Narcosees
Artist pt.
Lecellier
Yachtsman
Hoop de Do
California Grill

Breakfasts:
CRT
Kona Cafe

Lunches:
WGP in DTD

We are going from sept 27th till Oct 5 each day with BB Free DDP. I called the special number on the room paper not the Public Disney Travel Company. They seem to understand the BB program better. IMO the CSR's are confusing the separate room rates days (Sun -Thurs) vs (Fri-Sat) with package deals like BB

I have a 12-night stay with the discounted deluxe plan. I'm going to try and eat at most, if not all, the signature restaurants. I also want to get breakfast ADR's at Crystal Palace, CRT, Akershus, and Boma, and eat at a few one-TS places like LTT, Kona, and Le Cellier.

UNFORTUNATELY, we didn't book when we were there in August. We got the flyer!!!!! BUT DH didn't want to commit yet. :headache: So...now we have decided IF the Free DP is offered to the general public for the same dates, we will check in on 9/27 and stay for 8 days, 7 nights. We wanted to try a Mod this trip, but I think I will stick with POP since we are trying REALLY HARD to save money..and the kids absolutely LOVED it there! $82 a night...can't beat that!

We will DEFINITELY eat at Le Cellier, Maya Grill, Boma...maybe 'Ohana again. All other dinners are up in the air.

Counting down until April....:rotfl: Hope it's announced sooner, which I doubt! :scared:

We're booked at Pop on the bounceback from Aug 30, for 2 weeks. We loved free dining last trip, but I'm not sure yet if we'll be able to keep this reservation. My DD who will be 14, should be in high school, and if she is, I doubt we'll go because I really don't want to pull her out for that many days. Last trip was so fantastic, first time at Pop, just DD & me on a Mom/Dd trip for 10 days. She homeschools so we could flex vacation days.

I'm not planning on making any final decisions until close to 45 days out, and even then, I may just give up the free dining and book us back in our favorite traveling time of year, Thanksgiving - early Jan, when we really want to get out of the North and it isn't so hot and sticky down South.

If we do go, we'll definitely hit Boma (our fav), and probably a lot of buffets because DD is kind of picky and it's always better if she can just pick what she sees.

Always ;-)

We decided to stay at a value in order to compensate for the cost of choosing deluxe dining. The "free" part is a great discount, but, as someone else pointed out the tips will add up.

But, we love good quality food. So, we will use this to eat a signature meal every day for only $32/person. Yippee!

Yes, we've started the decision process...we've even created a sketched plan, but it's already changed twice.
