we have 4 tickets that my Dad purchased from Shades of Green Military Salute for us. The other was Undercover Tourist e-ticket. They are all loaded to MDE so I was able to get fast passes, etc.

I am getting the magic bands next week. I've read that if I load the tickets to my magic bands I won't have to go to will call and get hard tickets. Is this correct? We are planning on arriving before rope drop to maximize rides the first day and don't want a huge wrench...

regarding Military Salute tickets. My mom and dad will be there for the first two days of our trip but will probably sleep in and meet us later. We've been told that the Shades of Green are already active so shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks.

Trish

Right, with active tickets loaded into MDE (e-ticket or otherwise) and with MagicBands assigned to each person in your party in MDE, you have no need for separate card tickets from will call.

Just to clarify - as long as he purchased the Salute tickets directly from Shades of Green(in person or by mail) then they should be active. If he purchased them from his local ITT office you have to activate those at a guest relations or ticket window.

what about the UG e-ticket? their site says should be able to go right to park but making sure...
I'm not worried about SOG tickets I was just explaining so people wouldn't be caught up on that part of my post...

I just wanted to make sure I could link both types to my magic bands without having to worry about the physical tickets...
thanks.

You said you already could reserve FastPasses in MDE, so that confirms you have active tickets. You can't make FastPass reservations in MDE without active tickets.

And right, with the Undercover Tourist e-tickets, you load your order from them into MDE and assign each of your purchased tickets to the members of your party. It's nice to not have to get tickets either mailed to you or picked up somewhere.

Just to be clear
Nothing is on your Magic Band
Your tickets and FP+ are in your My Disney Experience (MDE) account. The Magic Band is simply a link to it.
Think of your bank account/debit card. Your money is in your bank account, not on your debit card. Your debit card links to your bank account, allowing access to your money.
That is how your MDE/Magic Bands work as well.
As long as your tickets show up in your MDE account you do not need to stop and get a card as well.

I purchased from ITT and then loaded tickets to MDE. I have made all my DP and FP reservations. Do I still need to have the tickets "activated" at the ticket window? Thanks.

You can make FP with military salute tickets bought at your local ITT, but they do have to be activated at Guest relations before you enter the park for the first time.

Yes. You can do this at any park, Disney Springs or TTC. We always do it arrival evening on our way to dinner so we can hit the parks first thing the next day. Each person must be present .

That's good to know. We've never tried that. Seems like that would save morning time! I always do it the same morning we are about to go in the park. This time, I'm going to go over to the guest relations window the night before then, if it's not too late!! We will get in about 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. to Shades of Green on the first day of our stay there. I should probably try and find online here what the SOG TTC bus times are for May so I can maybe do that. Does anyone know if there are certain hours for guest relations at MK or a link where I could find that?
