Bought Gold (DVC) Annual Pass, experience of picking it up at ticket booth

I have a trip 17th of September to 24th. I was wondering what is the experience of picking up an annual pass from ticket booth? Do I get everything right then and there. Thank you!

I don't have a DVC one but I picked up my regular one at the ticket booth at Epcot. It was mid day, no lines, just walked right up, took about 5 minutes. I've also done it at the IG at the back of Epcot and guest service at MK. As far as everything, I'm not sure what you mean. I got my discount card and they insisted on giving me the silly little booklet although I didn't need it. From what I understand, you no longer get a discount card just an AP card which serves as your ticket if you want and your discount card.

you do not get magic band right then. you have to logon to app/website and have it shipped to you

So do I get the cool box Mickey Mouse box? Thank u as well!

You will get your MB for your stay in the same box it always comes in. After you come home, you will be able to order your AP MB, which is just a regular one but the send a DVC slider to slide on it with it. Sometimes the slider is under the part that holds the band so make sure you look all the way through the box. They do not send it until after you have used your AP the first time, not sure why.

You will get your onsite resort Magic Band ahead of your trip. Then, a few weeks after you activate your annual pass in the park, you will be able to customize your AP Magic Band and it will be shipped to you (in the yellow and orange Mickey box).

Yes and my magic bands have been shipped

When you go to activate your AP, be sure to bring ID and your DVC membership card. You'll need both. Also, make sure they give you your AP discount card. You'll need it at stores to get the discount.

The discounts are moving targets, especially for meals. I've just learned to ask. http://allears.net/pl/apass.htm#bene2016. I don't think QS locations give them but I could be wrong. You will get a little book when you pick up your card that will list locations but like I said, they change constantly.
