I want to schedule our next trip. (The one where we make good use out of our annual passes....:p ) Also it helps for me to start thinking of other things besides current events going on in my house.

I don't want to wait all the way into November and get all tangled up with holiday planning... (Ok Im making excuses just to go earlier.)

So we are thinking September. Jeff is worried a bit about the heat, but thinking it might not be too bad if there isnt much in the way of crowds.

So please tell me..are the crowds really less? Is the heat and humidity tolerable? I think in the long run its more about crowd level than anything else... I suppose I could wait and do it in November if the crowds are signifcantly less, but if they are similiar then warmer nights and a sooner trip might be in the works.

Thanks!!!

Just don't plan to go anytime near Labor Day weekend and the crowds should be fine.:)

we did take a break during the heat of the day time and went swimming or to the water parks......we enjoyed ourselves.....the crowds weren't bad.....remember to check closing times in the parks during the non peak times.....

We went 9/28-10/4/2003, we were lucky with the weather, it turned out to be cloudy which kept the heat down, but still humid. There were few crowds, DH & DS rode Space Mountain 5 consecutive times, just walked on. There were still some lines, but nothing major. Fast Pass was often not even available at some rides. We did have to wait for Dumbo & The Pooh ride for about 45 min. but everything else was about 10 min. or less. This is our 2nd time going during that week, 1st time it was 96 degrees, this past time in the upper 70's - low 80's. - Perfect!! The parks do close a little earlier though, didn't really effect us though because the kids wanted to swim.

We've been twice at the end of September. There were NO crowds. I loved that. It was fairly hot and humid. But it is more tolerable when you don't have hoards of people to contend with. The nights will definitely be warm. I love swimming at night.........

Yes, thats the other thing..we could take a day and go to a water park..I think the kids would like that! We've never been...

Crowds are..wait a minute...I don't think you can use the word crowd for the amount of people...;)

Lots!! of swimming!

:sunny:

The only time we went in Septmeber was in 2001 so I dont think I can comment fairly on crowds as we were practically the only ones in the parks. :( However the weather was great. The first 2 days(23rd & 24th) were very hot, but bearable. The rest of the week was comfortable, but I do like it hot. We had a few hours of rain 1 morning and that was it.

My family went September 11th last year and it was amazing. Yes, it was hot, but we did the waterparks (practically empty). In fact, the parks were empty. The only lines were about five minutes long.

Since there was such a small amount of people in the parks, the Cast Members really gave us special attention. I got into lots of conversation, and one bellhop on TOT followed my brother around with a beat up suitcase claiming "sir, you forgot your luggage". He rode the ride with us, the picture is amusing and on my desk as I type this, lol.

I went September 7th - 13th 2002 and I had the best time! (could be a little bias, it was my birthday :rotfl: ) but honestly the "crowds" if you want to call it that were nothing at all, and the weather was awesome, of course I am from Chicago and anything warmer than 50 for my birthday is my preference. I would say the temp was 70s and 80s perfect for me! All depends on what you like.

Hope that helps.

We have been there the week before Labor Day, the week of Labor Day and the week after Labor Day. The only park with a crowd even on Labor Day or the weekend was MK. Crowds were light, but heat and rain are AWFUL!

We have been twice in September and we Love it.Last year we had perfect weather,We did not see one drop of rain and the heat was not that bad.You should give it a try.

Low crowds but our experience was the weather was hot! When it gets into the 90s with all that humidity...whew:eek: Still, it's better than going when it's crowded. November is very nice:earsboy:

The middle to end of Sept is great for low to no crowds. We have been at that time twice. The down side is the parks close early and some of the pools do too. In 2002 when we stayed at the YC SAB closed at 8pm. So if you stayed at the parks til 6 or 7 you really had no time to swim.
Both water parks are open in Sept so you could hit one of those. It is still hot at that time.
We didnt have to make any ps ahead of time we just called the day we wanted to hit a certain restuarant and always got in.
