I've had our tickets since last November, since I saw that one and only commercial. I am SO glad I bought them when I did, as I was able to get orchestra seats! I can't tell you how excited I am about seeing this show and already want to buy all the available merchandise they sell :D .

So we'll be going to the September 18th, 8:00 pm showing. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Im not from Boston and Im not excited

I can't wait! DD (age 7) doesn't know we are going.

I'm jealous! I never got tickets and wish I had! I heard on the radio that it was phenominal and that the Opera house looks fantastic since they renovated it.

Be sure and let us know how the show was.
We have a long wait as it's not coming here until January.
We do get to purchase tickets in advance since we are season ticket holders for one of the local childrens theatres here. That's always nice.

I am "WICKED" excited about Lion King. I'm going on August 3rd.(Thank goodness the DNC will be over by then.) I saw it in NYC and I can't wait to see it again

I'm taking my six nieces and nephews to see it on August 1st at 6:30 p.m. I'm really looking forward to taking them :) I've seen it four times in New York already. It's fantastic.

FYI, there is a display in the windows at Filene's in Downtown Crossing that has the masks, and concept models for the costumes. It's pretty cool to look at them up close.

I am within walking distance of Downtown Crossing - maybe I'll take a break and go see them!

We are going Sept. 9th.

Well, I'm no where near Boston.....but I'm going in Dec.!! :bounce:

Have a great time!!

I'm not going :(

Well, maybe if i get tickets for my birthday or something. I just can't pay that much this year. If I go, I'd want to get good seats.

The last few shows I've been to, I always wind up sitting next to the most obnoxious people who came to the show to chat or make lewd comments.

My last show was JC Superstar last April. We were really excited to finally see a professional production of it and paid over $120 for great seats and we left midway through the show because the people in front of us were so rude, and they kept standing up and the gentleman (and I use that term loosely) kept making sexual comments about the young woman playing Mary. It was just awful. We complained to the ushers and no one ever did anything.

I'm just scared now to pay that much money for a show I might have ruined for me by other theater goers. :(

Now those are the kind of responses I was looking for, thanks everyone! Its so fun to hear everyone else's excitement about it. My DH takes a daily walk at lunch time around downtown crossing and passes the theatre, I always ask him to go in and see if he can take a peek at our seat location, but they haven't let him in.

Campinggal, can you do me a small favor? When you take a look at the merchandise for sale, can you let me know generally of the price range for things? I am looking in particular for a Lion King poster that I can frame for our family room and a CD of the live performance. I'll definitely budget for this stuff!

I just can't wait for September!!!

Hey, are you all going to dinner first and where are you going? Are you parking at the lots nearby?

Not from Boston, but just wanted you to know we saw this when it came to Chicago last year and it was WONDERFUL! Enjoy!

We'll be in the orchestra next Thursday night.
