My flights have been changed at least 5 times. I now have a new schedule. I have just 39 minutes to get off delta plane from Orlando to Boston and connect with delta comair to Fredericton.....Can I do that in 39 minutes? I'm hoping for no winter storm on the 14th of November!

You should be fine. I have had flights where I only had 20 minutes to get from one gate to another. If the connecting flight knows you are on your way even if you are late they will usually hold a flight if need be. This just happened the my husband and I a few weeks ago. Our flight was over an hour late coming in, making us about 15 minutes late for our connection and they held the flight.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!!

At least Delta is entirely over at the new terminal A...in the past the Comair flights were sometimes in a different terminal from regular Delta flights.

40 minutes should be sufficient, but since Boston just reported the worst on-time record of any major US airport for the month of May...well...and November can be a fickel month at Logan....bring the rosary beads !!!!

I missed a connecting flight through Delta last December at Boston. Just as we were landing the plane we were suppose to leave on, took off. Nobody waited for us. Delta said they couldn't hold up a plane with 150 passengers for twenty more!

I think I will need rosary beads. The way the schedules keep changing. Gosh Delta had me leaving our Fredericton Airport at time Delta didn't fly!

I'm scared! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Sounds a little tight to me, for a connection at Boston. And indeed, they won't hold up connecting flights. That sort of thing disrupts the entire schedule, affecting more than just the 150 passengers on the connecting flight, but also every passenger on every flight that flight interacts with as it returns to the hub (late), perhaps taking up a landing slot that was needed for an ontime flight, perhaps taking up a gate intended for an ontime flight, etc.

As I recall, you have a member of your party with medical issues as well. YOu may want to let the gate agent in Fredricton know about your tight connection, and also speak to the flight attendent in flight. Given the tight connection and the medical issues, they will likely meet you at the gate in Boston and whisk you over to your new gate, all of which will give you better oddos of making the connection.

I saw your earlier post how you had originally booked out of Bangor then with the schedule changes they got you a Fredricton flight for the same price. Well done! I hope you have a great trip. And since it is not until November, expect plenty more fine-tuning of your flight plan, meaning a bunch more schedule changes. Just keep on top of them and it all should work out fine.

Yes my child has medical issues. It is just he and I travelling. Thank you for your great advice. I'll say one thing, Delta makes good on their inconviences. I paid just $400 Cn for two tickets. The flights out of Fredericton are over $700 - 800 a piece....in NEw Brunswick, it is cheaper to fly out of Maine.

I didn't see it in any of the replies, but the MCO to BOS flights usually arrive in the satellite (further away from the security checkpoint) part of terminal A at gates 17 to 19 and the regional jets fly out of the main part of terminal A on the side nearest to terminal B through gates 10 to 12. This walk which is down two levels on an escalator or elevator and under the tarmac on two moving walkways and back up two levels on an escalator or elevator can take about ten minutes in and of itself. Once your regional jet is called, you go down another escalator one level and walk out to board the plane. Best of luck on your connection!!

40 minutes should be sufficient, but since Boston just reported the worst on-time record of any major US airport for the month of May...

For what it's worth, we had intense rain and flooding for much of the month of may, with roads to the airport closed for days. Hence the record breaking on-time record.

That said, it does sound like a very risky amount of layover time -- for ANY airport.
