Our next trip will be on borrowed points. If we needed to move the trip up by a week, could we? (We are unsure right now of our school system's first day). Thanks!!

Yes, assuming there is availability for the week you want to move to.

Essentially, MS cancels the first reservation and the borrowed points go back into the current use year (year into which they were borrowed). Then MS uses those same points to make the new reservation. If the new reservation requires less points, the "extras" need to be used by the end of the current use year or they expire. If the new reservation requires more points, MS would have to borrow them (assuming you still have some left to borrow).

Best wishes -

Of course, that assumes that by moving a week earlier you are not moving into a different use year.

We made our reservations for our first trip home for last August. So, of course something changed for us and it impacted the points used. We had borrowed points from 2005 for the original reservation. When we had to change it, MS told us that since we couldn't just return those borrowed points to 2005, she would use them for that trip but bank the same amount of points from 2004 into 2005. I don't know if they do that all the time but I was really surprised when she did it.
