Borrowed Points Question

We have a June use year. I have us booked in a 1 bedroom at our home resort SSR for 3 nights in June 07 which required me borrowing 4 points from our June 08 use year. We have been talking about our June 07 vacation and are now planning on changing from a 1 bedroom for those 3 nights to a studio (and hopefully changing that to a studio at BCV at the 7 month window) and hopefully staying in a 1 bedroom at VB for 3 nights before those 3 nights at SSR or BCV. If I call now to change my reservation from a 1 bedroom at SSR to a studio at SSR do those borrowed points just go into a "holding account" and they just need to be used in the 07 use year or do I need to wait and make my changes all at once so I don't loose those borrwed points?

from what I understood last time I ran into an issue such as this, you will change the reservation using your borrowed points first then your current use year points, thus not having an issue with those borrowed points. Wehn you call to make your VB ressies, you would just need to use your 07 points first before borrowing from 08. If you happen to change from SSR to BCV at the 7 month window, those points are automatically moved from one booking to another again, so no issue. I hope I'm explaining this in a way you understand.....I know I can be confusing sometimes.

If you don't need the borrowed points for the latest reservation any more, you cannot "unborrow" them. So you'll have to use them first and then bank any 07 points left over (do that before Dec 1, 2007 so you can bank 100% of what is left over).

Thanks for the info, I didn't realize that I could use the borrowed points first. When all is said and done I won't need to worry about banking any of 2007 points in fact I will need to borrow a few more from 2008. I just thought it would be easier to change to the studio now to make sure we have that and still have the points to use at VB so that is what I will do.
