Has anyone crossed the border at Sarnia lately? I used to do it often but I've avoided crossing at Sarnia to avoid the hold ups. I've been held up going into Canada and the US. I mean hours. Has it lightened up at all?

Some friends took a bus trip and went through Sarnia a week ago and had no problems. It was about 10 minutes each way as they did a walk through the bus. No line ups really to speak of. I think they are getting faster at checking and it isn't as busy.

I live in Sarnia, and everybody I have talked to says that everything is back to normal (before Sept 11) We even phoned and asked about bringing wrapped Christmas presents across with the kids in the car. We were worried that they would want to unwrap them, and the kids would see them. They said not to worry about it.

Thanks everyone for your effort. I guess I can go back to my old route. Driving through northern Ontario is beautiful but you better keep your eyes on the road and not the scenery. I've had some pretty hairy experiences. The four lane highway has made some improvement but highway 69 still claims too many lives every year for me.
