Boozin’ It Up 12/5-12/7 coming ASAP

Doesn't it seem like everything is just falling apart? The U.S. economy is in the tanker, tons of people are without work or losing their homes, we are running out of water in California, we have a terrible financial crisis just in California alone, meteors and comets are flying through the air at random, planes are crashing, countries are warming up their nukes - it just seems like things are declining. People need places like DLR to escape to to get away from all the doom and gloom.

AMEN!!

:headache: DOH!! Can't we pray for rain thru the first of March & then let it take a break & then it come back after the 14th???? Sounds like a great idea & I'd be on :cloud9: :cool1:

Well, my husband has bicycle races in March so I am all for breaks. I don't want to have to be in the rain for races.

Saturday March 7th

This day we will definitely head over to DCA when they open after we‘ve been in DL for a couple hours. I’ve been fiddling with Ridemax, which I bought, because why not? It’s such a short trip that I want to make sure we can ride what we want the most. So I reworked Friday and organized Saturday. If you want me to post our crazy Ridemax itinerary, let me know. We love love love Soarin’ and must ride it a few times. I’ve also heard great things about Monsters Inc. and I think it sounds like something we’d like. I’ve never been to the Animation Studios and have been intrigued by all that I have heard about it, so that is on the list. My mom is a fan of the tortilla tour and I don‘t mind the free one at all. Not many of our favorite rides are in DCA so we really just like walking around while people watching. Also I think we’ll get a margarita from Rita’s Blenders, maybe go to the cove bar. We’ll spend our evening in DL.

Monsters Inc. is real cute. We went on it last trip for the first time and I got a kick out of it. I enjoy animation, it can be fun. It's a good place to kind of rest between running. I love Soarin' it has got to be one of my all time favorite rides. When we went we got fast passes and waited in line so we got two rides. I really enjoy just wandering in DCA. I think because it is so relaxed and not as busy as DLand is.

:thumbsup2 on Monsters Inc. It is a really cute ride. You smell ginger when you pass through the Chinese restaurant area. One good thing about this ride is that there is hardly ever a wait to get on the ride, but if you DO have to wait, there are all kinds of things to look at in line - inside Disney jokes and Monster jokes.

By the way, Meredith - just in case you didn't make it over to the Dining thread to see the pictures of the Goofy's breakfast spread that Michele (Kaoden39) mentioned yesterday, which were posted by J.C.andAli'sMom, here is the link to that page:

Does Heimlich's Chew Chew also have smell-o-vision? I thought I had read that it does.

I did get to see the pictures! I actually went through every page of that thread a few nights ago... I did it on a full stomach though. Phew!

I swear I gained ten pounds looking at the pictures. I love Heimlich's Chew Chew. Yes it does have the vanilla smell and Watermelon. It is a really cute ride. I like all of the Bug's Life section, it is so cute to just look at it.

I actually have not been on the Chew Chew Train yet (I always get so caught up in all the other cute details in A Bug's Land), but, yes - from all accounts, you can smell watermelon, animal crackers and something else too (can't recall). I love those rides with smells. The Haunted Mansion Holiday has a really strong gingerbread scent, and the IASW Holiday has peppermint and pine and other stuff piped in. Love those little touches!!

Actually Sherry, its supposed to be a Japanese restaurant

I LOOOVE Monster's Inc. Its sooo cute; although I might be a little biased because of my deep obsession with the movie, particularly mike ;)

Oh and you will loooove the animation theater. Its sooo fantastic in there. I recommend going through every area. It really is worth it. You can spend like an hour in there!

You're right! I was paying attention to something else as I was typing that, but yes, Japanese restaurant, not Chinese.

We love Monster's Inc. & Heimlich's Chew Chew. In fact we were trying to justify how to ride the chew chew with out any kids with us, but since that plan changed & they'll be there, I can ride & not feel weird about it!! :rotfl2:

The Animation Bldg is fascinating to see & you really should go in & look around. Lots of different things to see & try. A true hidden gem!!

I'm glad I already ate before I looked. I would have been in trouble otherwise. Oh good, I told my mom it had smell. Glad I didn't lie.

Did you know Cinnabon pumps cinnamon smell through the air vents? I worked at Jamba Juice and they were thinking of adding a citrus smell. Amazing how they can make it smell so real.

I definitely left a big chunk of time to wander around. I'm looking forward to it. I want to draw characters! How often do those happen?

Hey, have a good time while you're away for the next 40 days! I know that I wouldn't have the willpower.

I don't feel embarrassed at all to be adults going on it. I think it's tooo cute.

Thought I would post this in my own thread so as not to interrupt anyone elses

POST 1OO

Finally:cool1:

POST 100 !!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :)

I can't remember how long the intervals are for the character drawing but I think its every 25 minutes ?

I saw they were doing like 3 different characters while we were in there, so I'm not sure how many different characters they do! They are totally fun though. I've done Jack Skellington and Grumpy. TOO FUN! OH & don't forget to check out the zenotope towards the left side in a room/nook. Its amazing!
