books online or bookstore??

Do you buy more books online or in a bookstore??

Why?

I honestly think I do about equal. It depends on how quickly I want the book. If I don't mind paying full price and want it right away, I'll go to the store. If I don't want to pay full price or it is for a gift I am buying for in advance, I will buy from online.

More at bookstores...I can't wait when I want something. But I do buy a fair amount of books online, too, usually when the store doesn't have it in and I don't want to ask them to special order it for me.

for school, online. so much cheaper that way. for fun, i don't buy books often, so i just go to the bookstore.

I am an online book buyer but lately I am getting frustrated with them.

Ordered a book from Barnes and Noble and it was received dirty & damaged. The replacement book was only slightly better. Both were sent back.

Now Amazon.com is taking for ever to send me a book a preordered. It was released two weeks ago and it hasn't even been shiped yet.

I like jldriscoll idea, do my browsing online and taking my wishlist to the book store. I find it so much easier to shop for books online, much easier to browse and find what I am looking for.

Bookstores all the way! I love to go to Barnes & Noble and get a nice Chai Latte and just hang out for a while. I used to leave DS home with DH when he was younger but now DS goes with me. DS loves some Sci-Fi, music and sports, and loves to find a comfy chair and check out some of the books.
