Day 4 - 20 September

Both DH and I were feeling quite lazy this morning and decided to just relax today and perhaps do a bit of shopping. We had an early morning swim (having our own pool was one of the best parts of this trip, if you love swimming I highly suggest renting a villa!).

We decided to go have a look in these Dollar Stores that appear all over the 192 - there is a reason everything costs only a dollar! :rotfl: Did get a couple of things though. Unfortunately my DH spotted this alligator toothpick holder and before I knew what was happening and could stop it he had purchased it. It is in my sitting room right now staring at me and smirking because he KNOWS I don't want him here. :teeth: Oh well, DH is easy to please. It was the toothpick holder or a Harley Fatboy, so this came out much cheaper!!

We had lunch at the Olive Garden and it was ok. The restaurant had a bit of a strange smell to it which was a bit off-putting to say the least...we ordered their all you can eat special which is a combo of starter and all you can eat pasta (you choose the pasta and sauce you want each time). It was very cheap, around $8 each. I started with a Margarita, DH had coke as I made him drive so I could have the Margarita (ha!) and we had soup as starters, it was quite good but the bowls were so big it would have been enough as the main meal! By the time the first bowl of pasta came we couldn't even finish half of it. I knew American servings were big (I grew up in Canada and its the same there) and i'm a big girl yet I was shocked at how much food they put on plates! The pasta was good. No dessert though, we couldn't have managed an after dinner mint.

With our stomachs satisfied for at least a good 6 hours we decided to go visit Downtown Disney and spend some time at DisneyQuest. We had a fab afternoon! I didn't really know what to expect, I imagined it to be some sort of large arcade, was very impressed with the stuff they had. DH and I raced each other on the track, shot basketball hoops (this was my best game, only missed 2 balls the whole time!), played old fashioned arcade games and I even succumbed to recording my own song. DH didn't do this part and was excited when I told him i'd recorded a jazzy song. I paid my $14 and when we got back to the villa I played it for him. He seemed disappointed I only had 2 lines! :rotfl2: But I can't help it, Disney has a way of selling almost anything to me, i'm a sucker for that sort of thing :earsgirl:

In keeping with the rest of the lazy day we had we couldn't be bothered to cook so we went to KFC and bought one of their meals. It was kinda neat actually, you could buy a chicken breast with mash and corn with a bread roll and it came on a tray etc, wasn't too bad for fast food!

We had time for one more swim before going to bed exhausted...even doing nothing can be tiring when you're on holiday!

A nice lazy day today. I had wondered whether you'd got fed up of writing trippies already but glad to see you've posted some more. DH and I both loved Disney Quest too - although I know there are many who don't like it.

Another great day ~ Thanx for posting.

I wish we'd tried the Olive Garden - I said i didn't want to because I don't like olives  - like I don't use olive oil :confused3
