we haven't booked a hotel yet for disney, just made air reservations last week. anyway i would love to stay in disney however the $$ are high, but not that bad. if i joined aaa, would they lower the price considering it is a
holiday week ( presidents week)?

AAA sometimes has discounts, sometimes they don't - your safest bet is to call AAA and ask about hotel rates for that week prior to joining. That's what I did for our trip last week - we ended up saving over $400 through AAA, but I'm sure it had to do with the time of year.

Value Resort:

Standard room
AAA = $97.75
Disney = $115.00

Preferred room
AAA = $107.95
Disney = $127.00


Moderate Resort:

Standard room
AAA = $148.75
Disney = $175.00


Water View room:

AAA = $169.15
Disney = $199.00

None of these prices include tax.

I think that I may call AAA for a price also. I do have a question:
If a code comes out, am I screwed??? Would I have to cancel my reservation thru AAA and make another one thru disney? We are going at the end of august. Part of our trip is during regular season and the other half is value.
Would anyone know the prices of the value rooms at that time thru AAA.
Disney quoted me about $111.88 for regular and $$89.24 for value season. This is with taxes included. Do you think AAA would be any cheaper??

The AAA room prices for a Value Resort are as follows:

Regular season: $84.15

Value season: $63.20

(These prices do not include tax.)

If a better price comes along you can cancel the AAA room-only reservation up to 5 days before your check in date.

If you book a AAA package, you will have to cancel before the 45 day mark.

Disney released some codes about 3 months after we booked through AAA. Along with their regular codes (which still didn't bring the regular prices below our AAA price) they released an AAA code as well, so we were able to get even more $$ shaved off of our AAA price. So don't fret if you book AAA and the codes come out, it might be a good thing!
