booking w/o credit card

I hope someone can answer a question, DH and I recently got rid of ALL our credit cards and no longer carry and have any . Can you book at all without a credit card-through CRO or AAA? thanks

What about a debit card with the VISA or MC logo? I believe you should be able to use that.

We sent in checks and money orders to PAY on our reservation last year, but I think to make the original ressie we used a credit card- I don't know how you would put the 200 down to book over the phone or online w/out the card quite honestly. Maybe a friend or relative could let you use their card and you could pay them the 200 cash and then just mail in the rest of your payments?

Unless things have changed you should be able to send in a check. We did this several years ago. Called and made the reservation and had to wait for the paper work and then return it w/ the check. I think you had 2 weeks to get the check to them from the time you make the call. I was a nervous wreck waiting on the paper work and worrying if our check would get there in time. Is it possible to get a prepaid card just to make your deposit?

You can buy American Express gift cards. I saw them at our local Stop & Shop. You pay cash for it...any amount you want, but it works like a credit card. Or, get a debit Mastercard from your bank that takes the money right from your checking account.

AAA sells Visa money cards, too. They are pretty cheap.
