Booking Trouble

I'm going to WDW in feb. When the new codes for "room only" came out I phoned WDW reservations to try to change my reservations so I could get the same hotel (ASMo) for the same days - but w. the promo rate.

It took an hour over the phone, but at last the person said that everything was OK, I had a new booking, and he would cancel the old one.
When I could see on my bank statement that the money for the new reservation had been paid, but the old reservation kept popping up in "my vacations", and the money was still not refunded to the account, I phoned WDW again to try to sort things out.
I found out that I had been booked into the AS Music . The person I spoke to gave me a new reservation #, and said she had now booked me into ASMo. I asked for an email confirmation, but she said she would mail me one. She said - "we'll mail it to 11 Copenhagen "(my street# and my city)
- I never received confirmations on the other bookings via "snail" mail.
-The 2 old bookings (which should be deleted) keep popping up in "my vacations" - I cannot see the new one.
- When I asked the person I was placing the last reservation with to please go through my bookings with me to make sure everything was ok, she said something like "Ill put you through to guest relations" and hung up.

When should I expect the confirmation to arrive? I was told "5 days". Even when I live in Denmark, Europe. "Yes".

What to do?

Would it be ok to phone WDW one more time if I do not receive a confirmation within - say, 10 days?

When should I expect a refund of the money paid for the first reservation? Do they just deposit them on your account, or do they send (oh no!) a check to your mailing address?

The expenses for trans atlantic phone calls are soon to be bigger than money saved on the promo code....

Where the time for your trip is coming up so quickly, I would call them again. I would say that I wanted to double check on what they had in the system for me since at one point they had more than one vacation planned for me. I would try humor to begin with. It does seem to take them awhile to get credits made. It took one billing cycle for mine to show up!! Good luck. And have a great trip.

It would call again just to ease my mind. I would also send an email to guest relations and explain your problem. You will usually hear back from an email within 24 hours and they usually offer to phone you.

First of all, take a DEEEEEEP breath!;)

The email suggestion sounds like the best way.
And here's some Pixie Dust going your way!~**~*~*~*~*~*~*

Alot of great and helpful folks are here!:earsgirl:

Hi, I am not from Copenhagen, but from Amsterdam. So that's almost the same in an American point of view:D
I have had trouble as well with reservations by telephone.
Just call back untill you are certain that everything is okay.
Our confirmationletter took about 3 weeks to arrive here in the Netherlands, so maybe emailing is a better idea!!
We will be at PopCentury in about 3 weeks and then I will know for sure that the reservations are okay (or not:mad: ).
I have completely lost my faith in the callcenterpeople.
Good luck with it European neighbour:wave2:

Just a thought on the long time on the phone. WDW recently upgraded their reservation system. They may have worked through the bugs by now. When I called on Saturday to modify my reservations for October, it went really fast! I was able to get that done in about 3 minutes. On Tuesday, last week, when I made the original reservation, it took 10 minutes just to get me in the system.

Just thought I would let you know booking trouble also here in the States. I spent 40 minutes on the phone changing my reservation to take advantage of the new codes. As I told the CM (who was very nice) I probably spent all my savings on the $%#@@# phone call! Still waiting for the credit and charge to show up on my VISA (I did this Monday 01/13, so it was interesting to see goofy4tink's post that it took a month to show up!! - I doubt I'll be that patient).

Bottom line -- I'd call again, which I may be doing myself.

Good luck.
