So what's the general protocol here? Do people wait until the online issues are resolved or just wait an hour and then call and book over the phone? Or will that not work because they use the same system?

Do you actually mean the Halloween Party - this message is for those with the Christmas Party, which don't start until November, which is more than 60 days away.

I think Disney pulled a fast one & changed when any reservations can be made.? I saw this yesterday and thought something was off. But who knows with them lately

September 3 is when reservations during MVMCP can be made. Reservations for other dates up until 60 days from now (60+10 for resort guests) open today.

For MVMCP. CHRISTMAS PARTY. Regular ADRs & HALLOWEEN Party can be made today. Well, whenever they finally get released.

Sept 3rd is reservations for the Christmas Party. I think you're talking about the Halloween party if you'll be there Aug 29.

I wondered about trying to call at 7 am too, I have in the past been able to make a phone reservation when I kept getting errors online. But I really think it depends on the error message too.

They use the same system. If it’s not open online, it’s not open for CMs either.

Since this seems to be the entire dining system and not just for one restaurant I’m not sure calling will help.
