But I am hoping for a discount code or free dining for Feb 2017. If a deal becomes available, will I have to redo all my ADRs or will they be applied to my revised room reservation?

I'm really hoping for free dining in Feb...but someone on another thread just said that you cannot get free dining with a room only reservation - you must book the theme park tickets as well. That's a problem because I already bought one of our tickets with air miles

Yes, I believe that's accurate. Our tickets are also purchased separately (much cheaper through military deals), so we were unable to take advantage of free dining as well.

But between our ticket discount and room discount (free dining pays rack room rate), I'm not too upset.

ADRs are not tied to your room reservation. If you book an onsite resort reservation, then cancel it to rebook with a different discount your ADRs will NOT automatically cancel. In fact there is a screen that pops up on DW website when canceling a room that reminds you that you would also have to cancel all ADRs that you made if you no longer want those as well.

Only fast passes are at risk if you book them with the onsite advantage and cancel that booking outside of the thirty day offsite window. As everyone has said, your ADRs are not tied to your booking.

And yes, there is unfortunately no way you can get free dining without buying park hoppers with a minimum number of days (specified when the offer is released) as part of your stay.

Book your adrs and be prepared to either cancel or pay the dining plan. The last time it was offered in February was in 2012. Half the month is quite busy now so probably won't see free dining for the public for a while.

This is correct. Free dining has always required a minimum ticket purchase - the most recent offer required minimum 2 day tickets with either parkhopper or water parks and more add on for everyone 3 years and older in the room. As long as you do not use the ticket it can be saved for a future trip.

Also, it is unlikely that there will be a free dining offer in February. In recent years it has been offered during September and selected dates through the end of the year. More likely are room rate discounts in February.
