First, I tried to search for this because I know it's been covered, but the search just isn't working right. Okay, I'm planning on purchasing APs for our November trip. I know how to book an AP rate if one becomes available. But, from what I remember, I can now add the DDP to my reservation if I am an AP holder. Is that correct? If so, I have a few questions. Do I need the AP or voucher in hand when I make the room reservation? Is this considered room only or is it now booked through Disney Travel Company and subject to the rules of a package? When do you pay for the DDP, at check in or 45 days prior? Anything else I need to know?

Oh, and if this isn't the correct forum, mods please move it. I had no idea where to put this one! :rotfl:

Thanks!

You do not need the voucher or the AP in hand when you book an AP room with dining. It is considered a package, not a room only reservation when you book the dining.

Thanks so much! That answered my questions!

As to the other question, an AP package of room plus dining must be paid 45 days in advance like all other packages. Room only is paid at arrival if there is no DDP. :)

You may need to present the AP when you check in. You would not need it to make the reservation, though.

Adding DDP would make your reservation a package, and it would be subject to all rules regarding packages.
