We are booked for August with a bounceback deal from last year..our final payment is due next month. One of the people in our party is unsure if he will be able to make it, if I remove him from the booking prior to the final payment, will I be able to add him within the 30 days before we leave if indeed he can come?

Sorry if this is not the right board..thx.

It depends on whether or not you have a package. I think you have to pay $50 if you want to change a reservation after the 30 day mark. If it is a room only reservation than you can wait until you know for sure whether he is coming or not. There won't be a charge for changes if it is room only.

Pretty sure that the change penalty is ONLY if you change your booking to a lower price (apply discounts, fewer nights, drop PH). If you do anything to increase your price (add a person) there is no penalty.

Ok, so if I remove him now, then add him later I shouldnt be charged? I just wanted to confirm he would indeed still get the free dining that we are all booked with, I assume so as it will be in the same room/ressie.

I have the Free Standard Dining with a moderate resort bounceback offer from last August. I'm going in December to Coronado Springs. Originally when I booked, it was going to be my DH, sister, and me. In February, I added my mom. Nothing complicated happened from adding her. In May, though, my mom and sister both decided not to go. When I called, it seemed like the CM I was talking to didn't really know what she was doing (rare instance). She had to create a new reservation for us in order to delete my mom and sister, and in doing so, put us on the CURRENT free dining plan (only the free quick-service dining plan). I knew something was amiss (the pricing did not seem right) and called the next day, and another CM fixed it for me. I guess what I'm trying to say is this: If you change your reservation, be very clear that you need the same package deal you had when you originally booked. They were able to accommodate me, but if I hadn't known any better, I would have gotten a worse deal. Be careful!

Thats what I was worried about, thx for the info!

That's the way its supposed to happen. No penalty for adding a person and everyone has to be on the same plan. So it should be the cost of adding his tickets but with no change fee. But, I don't work for Disney so don't take this as a guarantee.
