Has anyone done this? The package is almost 1/2 the price on the UK site, but we are not UK residents. Has anyone done this? Does the hotel check the passport to make sure you are offered this package?

I am quite confused. I called the UK reservations line, and the lady told me that they are not allowed to give that offer (the 40% UK offer) to me over the phone, and if I booked it online, there is a chance the hotel would check my passport and notice it does not have a UK address. But then I come across other threads where reservation clerks told them to go right ahead and take advantage of the offer. Did I just get a certain rep having a bad day???

She even said that I could be charged the "U.S" price once I check in. What the heck??? It is double, DOUBLE the UK price. Rediculous.

Oh that is ridiculous.:headache: I know when calling the WDW call center it is not uncommon to get all kinds of responses from different CMs- so I wonder if that is what happened to you. Obviously people are booking UK offers who are not from the UK - :confused3. Hope it works out for you!

Well I talked with another lady, and she said to go ahead... and so I did!!!

3 families heading to Disney for our US Thanksgiving weekend!!! Woo hoo!!

We booked a 2 night/3 day stay at the Cheyenne Hotel with half board for $700 US!! 2 adults, 3 kiddos. Can't wait to surprise the kids again!

Does your passport show your home adress? My German passport does not. And it does not say anything that you have to bring proof of adress or that the offer is only for UK citizens. So, in my opinion they have no chance to verify at check in that you don't in fact have a residence in the UK! :goodvibes

At least I hope it works this way since I did book through the UK web site as well.... :rolleyes1

I agree from what I've heard shouldn't make any difference. Have a great trip!:)

Yes we've done it. When booking I put in my home address and left the country as UK. I had no problems at all at check-in with my US passport. They don't physically mail you anything, everything is handled my email. The savings was crazy, it was like $900 vs $1600 on the US site. This was just in June of 2010. I would much prefer to go to DL or WDW but if you're committing to go to DLP I'd go for the UK site booking.
