Hey guys. We are going down to WDW next month, but booking it became such a hassle im obsessing over it and not as excited as i should be.
We found a package on expedia that looked good for the wyndham palace, with air and tickets. I stopped short of paying for it and held the spot and went to check wyndham's website for a better deal direct. well they had abetter deal and i was about to pay for that when my friend who reccommended the palace to us called and said no no call, you might get a better deal. when she called to book a trip last year they gave her all kinds of upgrades for signing up for thier by request thing (free membership).
So i called, and explained that i had a package online but i wanted to check and see if they ad a better deal. Joe said they were the same but hed check anyway. Plus i had him check other options and had him book the package. but while he was processing my charge, it kicked the air ticket back out. he couldnt pull the package back up and told me to let go of the online packages because they might be holding things up. so i did. when he still couldnt put it back together, he blamed that airlines and told me to try again in a few minutes.
so i went back online and found a package for the same price, but the flights werent as good, we were leaveing at 2 instead of 8. i booked it. because there had been so many problems the first time around i called the resort and asked if they ad my reservation and they put me in touch with the website phone number. the web people told me that they were completely seperate from wyndham and that i should have booked the original package instead of letting it go.
so the next day i called wyndham got bounced around to 5 people and finally got a supervisor and told her what happened. she said shed try and get us on the later flight, but at the very least shes make sure we had an extra special stay at the resort.
well that was a couple of weeks ago. i havent heard from her, havent been able to reach her. the resort hasnt heard from her. im obsessing so much over the whole thing, ive even seen expedia has the original package for the origial price but i cant book it because the other package was non refundable.
anyone got any advice for an obsessive personality who wants to get excited about the trip itself again?
