Booking hotel through mousesaver question

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but seems like it would be the best place for a question since it's so active.

I booked a hotel in DTD area through the mousesaver website (first time using it). I got the email confirmation after I booked it from mousesaver. But now about 4 days later, I never got an email confirmation from the hotel and no money was taken out for the deposit.

Is this normal? Wanted to ask here before I call the hotel to see since I know plenty of you have probably booked through mousesaver. I'm wondering if everything's fine and I'll be good to go when I check into the hotel tomorrow and just pay then, or if for some reason the mousesaver site didn't go through all the way or something.

Just called and it is confirmed. Just weird that there was no deposit taken out. Not complaining though lol.

Mousesavers is pretty awesome. Glad I found out about it through the forum :)!

Some hotels don't require deposit. I know Caribe Royale does not. Just 3 day cancel policy. Pay when you arrive.
