Booking HH Grand Villa question

I am planning a 5 night stay at HH in August (first or second week) next year in a grand villa. Do you think I will have to book each day at the 11 month window or will I be okay booking at check-out day? If I do book day by day, do I tell MS that this is what I am doing?

I just booked a Beach Cottage and a BWV Grand Villa for next June. I did each day by day and I told the CM what I was doing. I told her I didn't know if that was going to be necessary, but she told me that there were so few of each, that it was a good idea. I don't know how many GV's are in HHI, but I think I would definitely call the first day that I could and ask.

I second this advice...I just recently made reservations for our HH trip next June. I called about two weeks after our 11 month window opened. I didn't really need a GV but I thought I'd check just to see, and there was nothing available for any of our days. I'm betting they go quick during the peak summer months. So if you really need one, I'd definitly do day-by-day.

I booked a GV a couple of years ago - day by day. Called right when MS opened.

We bought HH points specifically for booking a GV at the 11 month window for June every year. The first two years we did it exactly as our guide explained. Call on your check out date to book your 5 day stay.

Then everyone started with the booking day by day business and the third year we lost out. Now every year I am forced to book day by day for our trip. We have always gotten every day so far and member services are great and very helpful.

So, yes, you will need to book day by day but it is worth it in the end.
