Booking FP+ offsite guests

Hi there,

I have a question, if I am staying offsite, I can't book until 30 days before my first park day, right? And at that point I can book for all my park days?

Say someone has 7 day tickets, what is to stop them from starting to book 30 days before 7 days before their first real day, and booking their first park day (which they won't really be there) just to "open up" the other days, and then the next day cancelling the day they put as their first day, and then booking their 2nd day etc. That would allow them to start booking their days sooner than the 30 days.

So say my first real park day was August 30th, and I am in parks for 7 days.
I should log in August 1st, and at that point I could book August 30th and for the next 7 days?

But what would stop me from actually logging in July 25th, booking August 23rd so that I could book FP+ for August 30th, and then the next day, cancelling the August 23rd, and booking August 1st, etc.

Or can you only book one day at a time for offsite?

1- if I am staying offsite, I can't book until 30 days before my first park day, right?

2- And at that point I can book for all my park days?

3- Say someone has 7 day tickets, what is to stop them from starting to book 30 days before 7 days before their first real day, and booking their first park day (which they won't really be there) just to "open up" the other days, and then the next day cancelling the day they put as their first day, and then booking their 2nd day etc.

4- That would allow them to start booking their days sooner than the 30 days.

5- Or can you only book one day at a time for offsite?

1- Right.

2- Nope. One-day-at-a-time.

3- See number 2 above.

4- Nope. See number 2 above.

5- Bingo.

OK, that makes more sense!

So I can only book one day at a time for FP+ if I am staying offsite.

I will need to come back every day for seven days (If I have 7 day tickets).

Thanks!

Quick question to OP. Do you still get magic bands if you're staying offsite? I'm asking because someone is telling my DD that they are staying offsite & are Buying magicbands from someone they know for cheap. I was under the impression that magic bands are free & part of buying the tickets.

3. I was under the impression that magic bands are free & part of buying the tickets.

1. No.

2. They can buy used MagicBands from other guests,
but used MB cannot be USED by any guests than the original owners.
Tell them not to buy the used MagicBands if their intent is to use them at the parks.

3. MagicBands are not "free" with tickets.
They are "free" if you are staying at a WDW on-site Resort,
and/or are purchasing an Annual Pass.

And the BIG thing to know is that nobody "must" use
MagicBands at WDW. You can accomplish park entry and FP+ using
only stand-alone flat tickets.
