Booking for December 2009?

Hi,
We are contemplating a Christmas trip. We have 2DDs in college and the only time they can go is between Christmas day and New Years. Is this an awful time? Really crowded?
I went on WDW.com and it said I could not book that far in advance?!
Any suggestions, advice, concerns?

Probably can't book online because part of the trip falls in 2010.
I left on New years eve for a cruise years ago and the bus driver commented that 1/31 was always very crowded.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure that is the most crowded week of the entire year.

I would definitely still go if I had the opportunity though!

I just booked the first week of Dec this last week.

I've never been during that time but I've been doing a lot of research and everything pointed to massive crowds during that time...which is why we're going the week before Christmas.

We've been to WDW between xmas and NY's and had a great time. It was very crowded, but we were all adults, no kids, so we were able to move fast, get to the parks when they opened and stay late at night (took a break in the crowded midday). Like I said, it's very crowded then, but so nicely decorated, and we had a blast. If that's when both your DDs are available, I would go ahead and book it.

If you call Disney directly, you can definitely book December. It's the website that is limited to 2009. On the phone it's something like 400+ days out.
