I have a reservation through points that I rented from a DVC member and am splitting my stay. The first 2 nights at POP and last 4 nights at SSR, now my question is, when I book my room and MYW, can I get the DDP for my entire stay, not just the 2 nights that I'm at POP??

I know this sounds confusing...I hope someone can help me.

You can't do it on your Pop/MYW package, but you don't need to. Set up your package at Pop with the dining plan, which will be for length of that stay, and tickets for the whole trip (to take advantage of the cheaper per-day rates on longer tickets). Then contact the DVC member you are renting points from, and have him/her add the dining plan to your SSR reservation. Since you don't need to add tickets to add the dining plan to a DVC reservation, there's no downside to it being split up.

Having a split stay with the second half as a DVC rental is beautiful for this reason.... it's a great way to work the system and it's rules to get what you need. I'm doing the same thing this coming spring... three nights at ASMu family suites, then three nights at AKV.

This is great information! I have avoided the split stay because I wanted to take advantage of the dining plan. Now I can do both. Thanks.

For those who are wondering what this is all about, DDP is available on all DVC points reservations without any ticket purchase requirement. Not if you book through CRO, but if you own or rent DVC.

For those staying elsewhere for the first part of their trip, this means that you don't have to buy tickets AGAIN to get DDP with the DVC stay.

Or...if you stay offsite without DDP at the beginning of your visit, you can still get DDP without having to buy tickets if you are staying at DVC for the latter part of your stay.
