booking cruise with points

When booking a cruise through DVC, can you do it 11 months from the departure day or 11 months from the last day of the cruise? Thanks for the help.

Keep in mind when you do book with points thru Member Services, they will collect the $75 fee that day as well as any cash portion that you may be combining with points. All money is due on day of booking with them.

There was a really great suggestion on another thread in the last few days. This person calculated the # of points necessary to cruise. She then rented them out for about $10 each. She booked cash at a considerable savings & was able to cover air & other expenses too for the same $$.

I'm going to look at that for next time before I book with points. That strategy may give you more flexibility & savings.

There is also a $75 fee for ANY changes made (room, people) after you book.
