booking and borrowing points....

I got a question concerning booking or borrowing points.

Over thanksgiving my current ressies say I am staying at the BWV between Nov 21-Nov26, BWI night of 27th, and VWL on the nights of 28th and 29th. I have a waitlist for BWV on the 27th and the 26th and 27th at VWL. I am currently paying cash for the VWL nights.

So after all of this, the nights currently using points I am borrowing 36 points for next year. I am thinking about staying at the Swan on the 21st (which would release 47 current year points). If I make this change, will my points that I am borrowing go back into next years stash so that my current year points can be used? Or are they *committed* and therefore, my best option would be to bank the 47 current year points.

I won't even get into if I make my waitlists

The borrowed points cannot be returned to their original Use Year- you'd be better off to bank the current points into next year and make sure to use those borrowed points.
